Izzie Under the Umbrella

Hi all,
I'm just playing around with some of my images that I haven't used in a while.  I think I bought this one after Paulabella used it in a colouring class - funny how they can give you that bug to buy an image you used - they make you fall in love with it!

My card base is Sahara Sand CS.  My patterned papers are from the Authentique pack called Blissful, and my mats are black and white CS.  On the bottom layer, I added some So Saffron grosgrain ribbon, and I skewed the second panel on a diagonal.

I stamped Izzie Has A Brelly onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I coloured her with Copics, and added some shading with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS.  I cut her out with Label 10 Nesties, and added some Wheat Versamagic sponging to the inside of the stencil.

Don't forget about the Bellarific Friday challenge happening on the Bloggabella for this week.  You have until Thursday night to create a project using polka dots and send it to Emily!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Bellarific Friday: 4th sketch of 2012!

Hi all!
TGIF!  Welcome to your Friday again!  I hope everyone's week has gone smoothly, and you better have something good brewing for this weekend!  Make sure you enjoy it.
Did you have time to get crafty this week?  Either way, you can head over and check out Bellarific Friday to get some inspiration.

This week's challenge is another amazing sketch!  Here's a glimpse:

And here's mine:

I decided to make a baby card, but with a different line of images :-)  And I had to turn the panel on it's side so my image would fit properly.
My card base is Sahara Sand CS.  All my patterned papers are from the Sassafras Wee Bundle collection and my mats are black.  The strip across the middle is Sahara Sand CS and the black mat is punched with my SU scallop edge punch.  I tied some So Saffron grosgrain ribbon around that base layer.
I used the patterned paper and black CS along with my SU Photo Corner punch for the corners, and I added some white Martha Stewart pearls to those.

I stamped the adorable Froggy KETTO stamps onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Memento Tuxedo black ink.  I coloured them in with Copics and added grass and shading with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS.  I cut them out with Label 14 Nesties, and added some sponging with Bashful Blue ink.
I am thinking there is lots of great spacce there for a sentiment, so when it comes time to use the card, I will choose something just right!

Next week's challenge???  Polka Dots!  I love this challenge!  Just make a card showing off some polka dots and use any image sold at Stamping Bella.  Email your card to Emily (emily@stampingbella.com) by Thursday night, and your card will be published on the Bloggabella, and you'll be entered to win some Bella Bucks (aka free products from Bellaland)!

AND, if you want another chance at some more moolah, you must post your card over at SplitCoast Stampers!  When you upload your card, make sure you include the keyword BELLARIFFIC0712 so that we can all see it in our gallery!
Also, hop over to the Bella forum and check out the chatter there!

Have an amazing weekend!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Under The Weather

Hi all,
I decided it was high time I made a get well card, and Stamping Bella has the perfect image for that!  And I wanted to use some of my yummy patterned papers as well.

My card base is Sahara Sand CS.  The patterned papers are from the Authentique pack called Blissful, and I used a black mat.  The white square was sponged with Basic Gray ink and embossed with the Cuttlebug Argyle folder.  On top of that, I added a yellow piece of patterned paper, which I cut out with Blossom Nesties.
Around that whole base layer, I wrapped some black grosgrain ribbon, and added a flowery slider to the right side.

I stamped the cutie Fluey Huggabugg onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I coloured her with Copics and added some shading with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS.  I sponged around the panel with Wheat Versamagic ink and I added a bunch of glitter dots all around her with my glue pen.  That square was matted with black and white CS.

Don't forget about our Bellarific Friday challenge this week, to use the sketch below!  We always love it when you play along!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Bellarific Friday: Anything Goes!

Hi all,
Happy Friday!  I hope you all have some amazing and fun plans for this weekend.  On the other hand, it is pretty satisfying to get some work done around the house, so I couldn't blame you for that, if that's what you had in mind :-)

Well, as you MUST know, it is time for another Bellarific Friday!  For this challenge, we were all given free reign - it was an Anything Goes challenge!  I'm sure this type of challenge is a favourite for many crafters...I just love the freedom of using any image and doing anything I want!  I hope you were all able to play along and show off some of your Bella images!

Here's mine:

My card base is Sahara Sand CS.  My patterned papers are from Echo Park's line called Victoria Gardens - the colours and patterns are so sweet and girly!  My mats are black and white, as usual.  On the pink layer, I went around it with some black stitching using my Janome Sew Mini machine.  The white piece was punched at the bottom with and edge punch from EK Success.  I did a bit of zig-zagging on the diamond layer as well, and added some pink Martha Stewart pearls to those corners.

I stamped the beautiful Blow A Kiss Jane by Jane Davenport onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink, and embossed her with Clear EP.  I added some Basic Gray sponging around the girl, and some Pretty In Pink sponging around the outside, and matted that with a black piece.

Next week's challenge???  Our 4th Sketch of the year!  Make a card using the sketch below and any of the images sold at Stamping Bella and submit to Emily (emily@stampingbella.com) by Thursday night.  You'll be entered to win some Bella Bucks (aka money for free stuff) and your card will be published on the Bloggabella!  Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Big Wish KETTO

Hi all,
Just playing around today with one of my cute KETTO stamps from Stamping Bella.  I decided I wanted to use a Ketto I haven't used in a while and I wanted to use some of the new patterned papers I bought!

Here she is:

My card base is Pretty In Pink CS.  The patterned papers are from the Pink Paislee pack called Vintage Vogue.  I used white and black mats.  For the strip across the middle, I punched the black piece with my Martha Stewart lattice edge punch.  Across that, I added some black grosgrain ribbon, and I made the bow with my Bow Easy.  I stuck some black Martha Stewart pearls to the corners as well.
I stamped the sentiment Wish Big in black ink onto the patterned paper.

I stamped Kenya KETTO onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I coloured her with Copics and cut her out with Labels 18 Nesties, and added some Wheat Versamagic sponging inside the stencil.

Copics used:
*Skin: E0000, E00, E11, R02, YR00
*Dress: YG11, YG63, YG67, C3, C5, C7
*Flowers: R81, R85
*Shirt and stocking stripes: E40
*Shoes: E40, E43

Don't forget about this week's Bellarific Friday challenge: ANYTHING GOES! This is always everyone's favourite!  Hope you can play along.

Have a great week this week - don't let the Monday blues get you down!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Bellarific Friday: 3rd Sketch for 2012

Hi all,

Welcome to another beautiful Friday!  What is everyone looking forward to this weekend???  I would love to have some beach weather, but I don't know if I'll get that :-(

On to brighter things...Bellarific Friday!  This week, we were challenged to use our third sketch!  The sketches are so much fun, and they are a great way to make cards for the occasions coming up!  Here's one last peek:

I actually turned it on its side to fit the image I was using.

Here's mine:
My card base is just white CS.  Following that are these layers: black, then white, then Brilliant Blue, then white.  On top of that, I added some So Saffron grosgrain ribbon, but there wasn't enough space for a bow or knot.

I stamped the adorable Turtle Tots - Summer Girls onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I coloured them with Copics, and added some shading with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS.  Then I sponged around the edges with some Wheat Versamagic ink and matted that with black CS.
I stamped the sentiment Yummalicious onto white CS, cut it out, and cut out a black mat for underneath.

Next week's challenge???  Anything goes!!!  I know everyone loves these - so do us Bella Babes!  Make any project you want using any image sold at Stamping Bella and send it to Emily (emily@stampingbella.com) by Thursday night.  You'll be entered to win some Bella Bucks and your card will be published on the Bloggabella!  See you there!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Love Martini

Hi all,
With Valentine's Day coming up, they have decided to sell flowers and cards at my work for the employees to take home to their loved ones.  They usually ask me to do the cards for events like these, so I got to working on a sample!

I always have to keep in mind that I may have to make several of them, so I keep the colouring to a minimum, and I don't use a lot of supplies like ribbon and flowers, etc.

So here's what I came up with:

My card base is white CS, then I have a Sahara Sand layer with black and Real Red mats.  On the Sahara Sand layer, I added a bunch of hearts that I cut out of Real Red CS using my SU heart punch.

I stamped Valentini onto Sahara Sand CS with Versamark ink and embossed it with Black EP.  I coloured the hearts in with Real Red and Pretty In Pink markers, and I added some glitter to some of the spots using a glue pen.  I cut it out with Rectangle Nesties, and added some Sahara Sand sponging inside the stencil.
I matted that with a black rectangle, then a Scallop Rectangle Nestie layer in Real Red.  After looking at it, you couldn't really see the scallop layer against all the hearts because they are the same colour, so I added in 1 final white mat.

Don't forget about this week's Bellarific Friday challenge using the below sketch!

If You Can Dream It...

Hi all,
Well, I'm back from an amazing trip to New York - it was a total blast!  It's good to be home - now I have to do laundry and clean up the house again  :-(

I got to play with some of the new stamps that Emily released before I left.  I got my special stamp delivery while I was away, so that was awesome to come home to.  I decided to use one of those beautiful silhouette stamps that was released - I just love those!

Here she is:

My card base is plain white.  I decided just to use one main panel because the image is quite large and I wanted the whole thing to show.  Next, I used Orchid Opulence and black CS mats.

I stamped Jane Girl onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Versamagic Onyx Black ink and embossed her with Clear EP.  As soon as I saw these images, I thought they were BEGGING to be embossed!  I tried to take the pic so that you can see the shine.
I stamped the sentiment beside her in black ink - and that comes with the image, by the way!
I added some shading with a purple Prismacolor Pencil and OMS, and I added lots of glitter spots around her.
I finished it off with some Pretty In Pink sponging around the outside and voila!

Now, don't forget about our Bellarific Friday challenge this week - our third sketch for 2012!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Bellarific Friday: Be Mine

Hi all,
Well, if everything has gone according to plan, I just got back from my trip to New York yesterday! I've been there a couple of times before, and it's always a great city!  Does anyone have any favourite places to shop or eat there?  I'd love to know all its secrets :-)

Anywho, it's Friday again, which means we have a brand new Bellarific Friday challenge over on the Bloggabella!  We were challenged to make either a Valentines/love card or make a red/white/pink card.  Ya know, the big day is creeping up on us - only 11 days away!  I hope you are ready to spend some quality time with your special someone!  I have such great memories of Valentines Day just because of my mom.  Even when we were kids, she would always get us a card and a present - it was such a fun holiday!

Here's my card:

The base is Pretty In Pink CS, and the next layer is a piece of Real Red Prints DSP, with black and white mats.  The strip across the bottom is a plain black piece, then a white mat punched with my Martha Stewart crown edge punch.
Below that, I added some sparkly red letters from Recollections, and a Martha Stewart Gerbera Daisy sticker in the middle.

I stamped Valentina onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with Copics.  I also added some black Sakura Glaze pen to her eyes and some of the spots on the box.
The panel behind her was made using Classic and Scallop Circle Nesties along with black, white, and Real Red CS.  I embossed the red circle with the Cuttlebug Houndstooth folder for some extra texture.

Copics used:
*Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13, R02, YR00
*Hair: C3, C7, 100
*Box: R81, R85, R89
*Bows: R20, R43, R46

Next week's challenge???  The 3rd Sketch for the year!!!  Just make a project using the below sketch and any of the images sold at Stamping Bella, and submit it to Emily (emily@stampingbella.com) by Thursday night.  You'll be entered to win some Bella Bucks and your card will be published on the Bloggabella!

Bellarific Friday: Our 2nd Sketch For 2012!

Hi all,
TGIF!!!  Welcome to another great Friday!  This Friday is extra special to me because I am on my way to New York City this morning!  YAY
So, this post was scheduled to hit you at the regular time, even though I have already blown town...hehe

This week's Bellarific Friday challenge was an awesome sketch by Ebrubella!  Have one last look at it!

I decided to go waaaaaay simple with this one.  I am a fan of all white cards, so that's what I went with this time :-)

Here's my take:
Guess what - all white cardstock!  Could ya tell?
I embossed the very bottom panel with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, and the strip on the right side was done with the Houndstooth folder.  Just wanted some contrasting textures.
The 2 corners are plain, but I added a bunch of white Martha Stewart pearls to fancy it up.

I stamped Stepsisters by Mo Manning onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I absolutely ADORE this image.  I am the younger sister, so I always see the older girl as the mean, bossy one...anyone else think that?
I coloured them totally with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS, and cut them out with Scallop Circle Nesties, then added some Wheat Versamagic sponging.

Next week's challenge???  Either a love/Valentines card or a pink/white/red card!  Your pick, but they are basically following the same theme in the end.  Make a card following that theme using any of the images sold at Stamping Bella and send it to Emily (emily@stampingbella.com) by Thursday night, and you'll be entered to win some Bella Bucks.  And of course, we always love seeing all the cards published on Emily's blog!

Have a great weekend!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

SOG Challenge: Inspiration

Hi all,
Welcome to another fun and exciting challenge from Some Odd Girl!  The last challenge was a bling challenge, and wow, what entries we had!
For this fortnight, we were given a picture to use as inspiration - these are always fun!  Take a look at the pic:

OK, so many ideas, right?  If you were smart enough to get your hands on any of the 3 clear stamps released as part of the birthday celebration, they are PERFECT for this challenge!

Here's mine:

I mainly used the colours this time - I didn't include any cupcakes, but if you want to, you definitely should!  And sprinkles too!
My card base is Bermuda Bay CS.  All of my patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Lime Twist collection called Out of the Blue, and my mats are black.  The strip across the middle was punched with the EK Success Fleur de Lis edge punch, and I added some Bermuda Bay polka dot ribbon around that.
I also added Martha Stewart pearls to the visible corners, and I stamped the sentiment (which comes with the image) onto the patterned paper.

I stamped Cupcake Mae onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Memeto Tuxedo Black ink.  I coloured her with Copics, and her dress was paper pieced using the same patterned paper.
I cut her out with a thin white border around and mounted her on with foam dots.

You should definitely play along with this one - link your card up over on the Some Odd Girl blog, so we can see it and oooh and aaaah!

Tomorrow morning I will be leaving bright and early for a week in the Big Apple - yes, that's right, New York, here I come!  So, I'll be scheduling next week's posts ahead of time (hopefully, if all goes well).  Wish me luck y'all!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Bellarific Friday: Your Favourite Stamp!

Hi all,
Wow, what a late post - usually my Friday posts go live at midnight, but last night I had some computer troubles, and I wasn't able to schedule it!
So, I'd still like to share Bellarific Friday with you!

Our Bellarific Friday challenge this week was to use our favourite image from Stamping Bella!  I'm pretty sure the majority of people agree that they can't choose a favourite, so we are all cheaters.  LOL

I have used this image several times, and I think it's definitely one of the best, so that's why I chose it.  Here's my card:

My card base is Basic Gray CS, my patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Lime Twist collection called Happy Go Lucky, and my mats are black.  The strip across the middle has a black piece punched with a Martha Stewart edge punch, and then I added an Old Olive square on top (embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder).  I topped that off with some black grosgrain ribbon tied in a knot.

I stamped the always cute and useful AllBoxedUpABella onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I coloured her with Copics and used my Prismacolor Pencils for shading.  For the green present, that was paper pieced using the same paper pack.
I punched her out with Classic Square Nesties, and added some sponging with Basic Gray ink.

Next week's challenge??? A sketch!  Just make a project using the sketch below and any of the images sold at Stamping Bella and send to Emily (emily@stampingbella.com) by Thursday night.  You'll be entered to win some Bella Bucks and your card will be published on the Bloggabella!
I don't think anyone could turn away Bella Bucks, especially with the release Emily has out right now!!!  You all need to participate!
Remember to also link your card on SCS (BELLARIFFIC0212)

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Happy 2nd Birthday Some Odd Girl!

Hi all,

Welcome to another fun post for this week with Some Odd Girl!  We had an amazing blog hop on Monday and Tuesday, and yesterday we found out the hop winner, and Kristy released some brand new clear stamps into the store, which were very Hush Hush!

Today to celebrate the 2nd birthday, the DT are showing you cards made with the brand new release!  Once again, these are clear stamps, not digi images.  I love getting these in the mail!!!

Here we go:

I am showing you Birthday Mae - she is so sweet, and you can find her in the store NOW!

My card base is More Mustard CS.  On top of that, I stamped Birthday Mae onto a large panel of Bella's Bestest Paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I coloured her in with Copics, and added some shading with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS.  I also added lots of glitter spots all around her.

I sponged around the panel with Wheat Versamagic ink, and matted it with black CS.

On the right side, I added a pice of patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Lime Twist collection called Out of the Blue, matted with black CS.  I rounded 2 of the opposing corners with my punch as well.
On top of that, I used another piece of Bella's Bestest to stamp the accessory candles (that come with the image!), and coloured them with Copics and Prisma's, same as Mae.  I stamped the sentiment directly under that, which also comes with the image, and matted that whole piece onto More Mustard CS, and mounted them on with foam dots.

I hope you are enjoying birthday week with us - we have a really fun customer showcase tomorrow, so I hope you can come back and visit.
Don't forget to stop by the SOG blog for all the fun!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Sketch Saturday 190: Sew Awesome

Hi all,

I'm playing along with today's layout over on the Sketch Saturday blog: #190.  Love these sketches!
Here it is:

I decided to use one of Kristy's newer clear releases - a Valentine's image!  The big day is coming, you know.

Here's mine:
My card base is Sahara Sand CS, my patterned papers are from Basic Grey's pack called Olivia, and everything has black mats.  The strip across the middle was punched with an SU scallop edge punch, and I added some Old Olive grosgrain ribbon around that.
I also added a corner with my SU Photo Corner punch, and I added 3 rhinestones to that, and 3 more to the other corners on the base.
I stamped the sentiment (which comes with the image) in black ink onto the patterned paper.

I stamped the thread spool from In Stitches Tia onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Memeto Tuxedo Black ink.  I coloured it with Copics and cut it out using Classic Circle Nesties.  I added some shading with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS and I added some sponging to the inside of the stencil using Wheat Versamagic ink.
I stamped Tia onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Onyx Versafine ink and embossed her with Clear EP.  I coloured her with Copics, cut her out with a thin white border, and mounted her on top of the spool with foam dots.
She's adorable!!!

By the way, Kristy is having a 2-year birthday celebration and new releases next week, so keep your eye on the SOG blog for lots of fun stuff!!!  You will love it!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Bellarific Friday: Sketch #1

Hi all,

Welcome to another beautiful Friday!  I hope you've got some great stuff planned for the weekend!  The temperature outside is significantly dropping this weekend in Toronto, and I don't approve...
We had such nice, mild weather this week, and it has to round out with freezing temperatures and snow.  Hmph.

Well, let's get onto brighter topics - it's our first Bellarific Friday of 2012!  Welcome back to all those participants and window shoppers!

Some great things happening already this year!  Stamping Bella is back on SplitCoast Stampers - you can check out the threads HERE.
There are some fun discussions over there, and we have a challenge running as well, using this week's Bellarific Friday Sketch!  The thread is HERE - make sure you check it out for all the rules.  I've already been browsing the entries in the gallery and they are amazing!  For the SCS challenge, you get some extra time to play with the sketch - until Jan. 19!

There is also a thread started for questions...like, if you want to ask any of the Babes any questions, or Emily herself.  The thread is HERE.  Ask away!

Here is the sketch for this week, designed by the awesome Ebrubella:

Here's mine:

My card base is white CS, and the patterned papers are from SU's Simply Scrappin' Kit called Crew Kids Girl, with all black mats.  I added some black stitching to the smaller 2 panels, and some CTMH rhinestones to some of the corners.

I stamped the ever-inspiring Veronica by Mo Manning onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Memento Tuxedo black ink.  I coloured her with Copics, and added some shading with my Prismacolor Pencils and OMS.  I cut her out with Blossom Nesties, and added some Bisque Colorbox Chalk sponging inside the stencil.
The sentiment also comes with the image!

Is this chick anyone else's hero???  She's hilarious.

Anywho....next week's challenge???  To ink up your favourite image!  This one should not only be easy, but so much fun!!!  Go through your binders and find your favourite Bella image - send your card to Emily (emily@stampingbella.com) by Thursday night, and you'll be entered to win some Bella Bucks $$$, and your card will be published on the Bloggabella!  Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Have a great weekend!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Look Ma, No Colouring!

Hi all,
I just love the Uptown girls so much - Em hs so many great images - and they are especially great for girlfriends or moms or sisters!

Today, I'm playing with the whole Kraft thing, and I decided to leave colour out of it :-)

My card base is Kraft CS, followed by a piece of SU Groom Specialty DSP with a white mat.  I wrapped some black striped grosgrain ribbon around that and added some white Martha Stewart pearls to the corners.

I stamped Uptown Girl Posh Has A Present onto Kraft CS using Versafine Onyx Black ink, then embossed her with Clear EP.  I added a bunch of glitter spots all around ger with a glue pen and loose glitter.  I also watercoloured a bit around her with a graphite pencil and aqua brush, just for a bit of shadow.  I sponged Walnut Stain Distress ink around that panel, then mounted it onto black and white mats.
The sentiment comes with the image as well   ;-P

Don't forget about this week's Bellarific Friday challenge - a sketch!

And don't forget to visit the Stamping Bella forum on SCS!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!
