Happy weekend! I have a fun weekend planned - I get to go out on the town tonight and stay in a hotel! I have to say: I LOVE staying in hotels. It's the best.<br />
I have a nice steak dinner to attend on Sunday as well, so I am ready for some yum!<br />
I hope everyone has some great plans as well...<br />
<br />
Welcome to <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bellarific Friday</a>! Our challenge this week was to make a shower card - you could have done a baby shower, bridal shower, or something with rain on it! Em doesn't mind.<br />
<br />
Here's mine:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-McdQQK9f-58/T4Yy9Dw5vjI/AAAAAAAADsg/HDPQx4QBj4w/s1600/Apr+13-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="460" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-McdQQK9f-58/T4Yy9Dw5vjI/AAAAAAAADsg/HDPQx4QBj4w/s640/Apr+13-View+1.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>My card base is Bashful Blue CS. My papers are from an SU DSP pack - can't remember the name, but it's definitely old. All the mats are black. I also added some white machine stitching to one of the layers, along with some green Martha Stewart pearls. I rounded two of the corners on the bottom layer. The layer just underneath the image is DSP cut out with Label 18 Nesties.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LhYtwqgAj28/T4YzETqAX_I/AAAAAAAADso/f-d3RDoY05Y/s1600/Apr+13-View+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="223" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LhYtwqgAj28/T4YzETqAX_I/AAAAAAAADso/f-d3RDoY05Y/s320/Apr+13-View+2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>I stamped the lovely <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=362">BridalPartyBellas</a> on <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=395">Bella's Bestest Paper</a> using <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=1629">Memento Tuxedo Black ink</a>. I coloured them mostly with Copics and added some shading with my Prismacolor Pencils. I cut them out with Label 4 Nesties and added some Wheat Versamagic sponging inside the stencil. I also added a bunch of glitter dots all around, and all over the bride's dress.<br />
I totally love these girls - absolutely perfect image!!!<br />
<br />
Next week's challenge??? <span style="font-size: large;"><strong>Our 8th sketch challenge for this year!</strong></span> Make a card using any of the images sold at Stamping Bella and the layout below. Send it to Emily (<a href="mailto:emily@stampingbella.com">emily@stampingbella.com</a>) by Thursday night, and you will be entered to win some Bella Bucks (aka, free product), and your card will be published on the <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bloggabella</a>! Hope everyone is having a lovely Easter weekend - did you make a bit of craft time in the midst of the cooking and company???<br />
<br />
I decided to play along with a sketch out there in blog land. Have you ever played along with Jen del Muro's <a href="http://iheart2stamp.com/2012/04/07/april-sketch-for-you-to-try-2/">Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT)???</a> She's got some really great layouts, and she has an amazing design team!<br />
<br />
Here is the sketch for April:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Tz_loIV_RUg/T4ChqGZ0lTI/AAAAAAAADsI/uVmq350iFcE/s1600/apr2012sketch.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Tz_loIV_RUg/T4ChqGZ0lTI/AAAAAAAADsI/uVmq350iFcE/s320/apr2012sketch.jpg" width="235" /></a></div><br />
Here's my take:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sCYvvULrC1g/T4ClHxXbivI/AAAAAAAADsQ/vXWzP6dambU/s1600/2nd+Extra-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sCYvvULrC1g/T4ClHxXbivI/AAAAAAAADsQ/vXWzP6dambU/s400/2nd+Extra-View+1.jpg" width="297" /></a></div>My card base is white CS. My patterned papers are from SU's Nouveau Chic DSP pack, and my mats are all black. <br />
I also added some Dew Drops to the corners of the smaller panels.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xqmcJihXWXQ/T4ClXPdCJ8I/AAAAAAAADsY/uSr0CmD45WI/s1600/2nd+Extra-View+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-xqmcJihXWXQ/T4ClXPdCJ8I/AAAAAAAADsY/uSr0CmD45WI/s320/2nd+Extra-View+2.jpg" width="232" /></a></div>I stamped <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=6067">Clara Lulu</a> onto <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=395">Bella's Bestest Paper</a> using <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=1629">Memento Tuxedo Black ink</a>. I coloured her with Copics, and added shading with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I cut her out with Classic Circle Nesties and added some Wheat Versamagic sponging inside the stencil. I backed that with a die cut from the Spellbinders Parisien Motifs set - very intricate and lacy, but the circle covers most of it.<br />
I added a bunch of glitter dots all around her and I added some yummy butterflies punched out with my Martha Stewart punch.<br />
<br />
Don't forget about our <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bellarific Friday</a> challenge this week: showers! Make a card for a bridal or baby shower, or something with rain on it!<br />
<br />

Well, looky here...I had computer problems again. My posts are supposed to go live at midnight on Fridays, and my internet was giving me trouble yesterday. So, I wasn't able to schedule my post, and I wasn't able to send my card to Emily!<br />
<br />
So, all is in working order, and I can continue on with my schedule! Phew.<br />
<br />
So, first off, Happy Good Friday! We get a holiday today, and I'm stoked to get a long weekend! And Happy TGIF!<br />
<br />
So, our <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bellarific Friday</a> challenge this week was to make a card with the sketch below:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LNpeDP3H8lk/T38Fj1hyPNI/AAAAAAAADro/4vwrAXpKtCg/s1600/Bellariffic-Friday-Sketch-7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-LNpeDP3H8lk/T38Fj1hyPNI/AAAAAAAADro/4vwrAXpKtCg/s200/Bellariffic-Friday-Sketch-7.jpg" width="156" /></a></div><br />
Here's mine:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GQgd4GV1J54/T38Ih7VY2lI/AAAAAAAADr4/kvEprgWV3nE/s1600/Apr+6-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GQgd4GV1J54/T38Ih7VY2lI/AAAAAAAADr4/kvEprgWV3nE/s400/Apr+6-View+1.jpg" width="311" /></a></div>I went for a really simple card - all neutral colours. My cardstock is all Sahara Sand, my patterned papers are from SU's Manchester pack, and my mats are black and white. Sometimes, I really like the neutral palette - you could also do it with Kraft paper - also really effective.<br />
The butterfly is from Martha Stewart - I am in LOVE with her embellishments!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oZ796J-0T4k/T38Io4erslI/AAAAAAAADsA/ZnpdqDByKNQ/s1600/Apr+6-View+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oZ796J-0T4k/T38Io4erslI/AAAAAAAADsA/ZnpdqDByKNQ/s320/Apr+6-View+2.jpg" width="221" /></a></div>I stamped <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=6855">Posie Pixie</a> onto Sahara Sand CS using <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=1629">Memento Tuxedo Black ink</a>, and coloured her totally with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I only used my black and white pencils, and also the Cool Gray 90% pencil.<br />
I added a bunch of glitter dots all around her for some girly sparkle!<br />
<br />
Next week's challenge??? <span style="font-size: large;">A Shower Card! </span><span style="font-size: small;">Just make a card for a bridal or baby shower, or there can be rain in the image! Use any image sold at <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/">Stamping Bella</a>, and send to Emily (<a href="mailto:emily@stampingbella.com">emily@stampingbella.com</a>) by Thursday night. You will be entered to win some Bella Bucks (aka, free products) and your card will be published on the <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bloggabella</a>!</span><br />
<br />
Enjoy the holiday weekend!<br />

I hope you had a great weekend, and are ready to face another work week! I suspect this one will be easier than most because most of us should get a long weekend coming up - thanks to Good Friday! I'm definitely looking forward to that.<br />
<br />
Hopefully, you got a chance to get crafty this weekend - I know it can be hard with all the errands to run and chores to do. Sometimes it's a good idea to just relax with some colouring, KWIM?<br />
<br />
Well, I did get to play a bit. I was looking through my drawers for some paper, and I found some supplies I hadn't used yet from a colouring class that<a href="http://www.paulatracy66.typepad.com/"> Paulabella</a> did when she visited Bellaland! I'm sure you all know by now that she is the colouring queen! So I had to colour it up and post it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JSbYvOG1LoM/T3j7XFcqSUI/AAAAAAAADrQ/yaq0FTEwuMw/s1600/1st+Extra-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="297" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-JSbYvOG1LoM/T3j7XFcqSUI/AAAAAAAADrQ/yaq0FTEwuMw/s400/1st+Extra-View+1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>The base is just white, and she chose the plaid paper with the pink mat. I don't know what brands they are - she prepared them for us before the class.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0UdDfPSXW1Y/T3j7enV92fI/AAAAAAAADrY/uGw_Fnj4aVo/s1600/1st+Extra-View+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-0UdDfPSXW1Y/T3j7enV92fI/AAAAAAAADrY/uGw_Fnj4aVo/s320/1st+Extra-View+2.jpg" width="255" /></a></div>She also pre-stamped <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=7114">Paisley Pixie</a> (assuming it was on <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=395">Bella's Bestest Paper</a>, using <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=1629">Memento Tuxedo Black ink</a>). I coloured her completely with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS, as per her awesome instructions, and I added some Bisque sponging around the outside.<br />
I added some machine stitching around both layers, and that was it!<br />
<br />
Don't forget about our <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bellarific Friday</a> challenge this week to use the sketch below!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jR8UWMCySnA/T3j756DegHI/AAAAAAAADrg/I-Bqswcwaxg/s1600/Bellariffic-Friday-Sketch-7.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jR8UWMCySnA/T3j756DegHI/AAAAAAAADrg/I-Bqswcwaxg/s200/Bellariffic-Friday-Sketch-7.jpg" width="156" /></a></div><br />
<br />
Have a great week!<br />

Welcome to another Friday! Things are changing at work, and I'm gonna be a lot more tired in life, I suspect. We shall see how long I can last at my current speed...<br />
<br />
But, let's look towards the weekend - happy thoughts!<br />
<br />
It's <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bellarific Friday</a>! Every week, we get a challenge where we can use our Bella images, and come up with a project! So, this week, our theme was to make a Spring or Easter card - perftect timing, no?<br />
<br />
Here it is:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R8Fxq9jHW3Q/T3T2Ye4ygzI/AAAAAAAADq4/ZOVGOaZKBYM/s1600/Mar+30-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="283" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-R8Fxq9jHW3Q/T3T2Ye4ygzI/AAAAAAAADq4/ZOVGOaZKBYM/s400/Mar+30-View+1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>I actually only used white cardstock! For any coloured cardstock that you see, it was white, sponged with ink. So, the lower layer was sponged with bashful blue ink and matted on white (both punched with my Ticket Corner punch), and I wrapped some white satin ribbon around it. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-adYhvTbjEWI/T3T2gpWdf6I/AAAAAAAADrA/LxIqm15jpEQ/s1600/Mar+30-View+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="206" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-adYhvTbjEWI/T3T2gpWdf6I/AAAAAAAADrA/LxIqm15jpEQ/s320/Mar+30-View+2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>I stamped <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=5328">Row of Eggs With Bunny</a> onto <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=395">Bella's Bestest Paper</a> using <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=1629">Memento Tuxedo Black ink</a>. I coloured it with Copics, and added shading and grass with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I added some Wheat Versamagic ink around the edges, and some glitter spots all around the image. I added a bunch of fun Thickers to the top as the sentiment for a different texture.<br />
<br />
Copics used:<br />
*Yellow Egg and Flowers: YR21, Y35, Y38<br />
*Green Egg: YG11, YG13, YG09<br />
*Purple Egg: BV0000, BV04, BV08<br />
*Orange Egg: YR61, YR04, YR07<br />
*Bunny: E40, E41, E43, E30, E31<br />
*Pink Flowers and Butterfly: R20, R43, R46<br />
<br />
Next week's challenge??? <span style="font-size: large;">Our 7th sketch for this year</span>! Just make a card using the below sketch and any image sold at <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/">Stamping Bella</a> and send it to Emily (<a href="mailto:emily@stampingbella.com">emily@stampingbella.com</a>) by Thursday night. You'll be entered to win some Bella Bucks (aka free stuff), and your card will be published on the <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bloggabella</a>!<br />

Happy Sunday - hope you all had a great weekend and are ready to start next week with some gusto! I was mostly cleaning today, but I was so exhausted from this week at work that I ended up taking a 2-hour nap in the afternoon. Love it when I can do that :-)<br />
I had dinner at my parents' house, and then came home and got crafty for a bit!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_4V_-0Ho_50/T2_MnRtdsZI/AAAAAAAADqo/_d0zFZ_6ZX8/s1600/3rd+Extra-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_4V_-0Ho_50/T2_MnRtdsZI/AAAAAAAADqo/_d0zFZ_6ZX8/s400/3rd+Extra-View+1.jpg" width="310" /></a></div>My card base is Rose Red CS, all my patterned papers are from the SU Raspberry Tart DSP pack, and I have black and white mats. I also added a white strip across the middle punched with an EK Success edge punch. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZEY4QNbC-Ww/T2_MxxmxWQI/AAAAAAAADqw/oQv5fYucgJs/s1600/3rd+Extra-View+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ZEY4QNbC-Ww/T2_MxxmxWQI/AAAAAAAADqw/oQv5fYucgJs/s320/3rd+Extra-View+2.jpg" width="259" /></a></div>I stamped<a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=5326"> Pot O' Orchids for Lulu</a> onto <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=395">Bella's Bestest Paper</a> using <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=1629">Memento Tuxedo Black ink</a>. I coloured it totally with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS - no Copics! I also added some Wheat Versamagic sponging around the outside of the white square and added a black mat.<br />
<br />
Don't forget about our <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bellarific Friday</a> challenge this week: to make a spring or Easter card!<br />

Welcome to another Friday!!! We have had summer-like weather this week in Toronto, and today it DROPS to a very cool and rainy couple of days. It was so lovely while it lasted.<br />
<br />
Let me start with this: have you SEEN the new release Emily has put out over at <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/">Stamping Bella</a>??? There are SO many new images, and they are AMAZING!!!!!!!!<br />
There are new Ramonas, new Uptowns, new stamps from Vicki Boutin, new stamps that Em herself has designed, and more! You need to check it out, and fill up your shopping cart!<br />
<br />
OK, now that's out of the way, we can move on to another fun topic! We have another <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bellarific Friday</a> to share with you, and hopefully you were able to play along! We were given our 6th sketch for 2012, and here's one last glimpse:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PPGeck8QPY8/T2vQxAGSiUI/AAAAAAAADqQ/7IIOjI8ofJ4/s1600/Bellariffic+Friday+Sketch+6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-PPGeck8QPY8/T2vQxAGSiUI/AAAAAAAADqQ/7IIOjI8ofJ4/s320/Bellariffic+Friday+Sketch+6.jpg" width="255" /></a></div>Another great job by Ebrubella!<br />
<br />
Here's mine:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-FXz4hpV1-5E/T2vSIqDwWvI/AAAAAAAADqY/OogQLLbz1zg/s1600/Mar+23-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-FXz4hpV1-5E/T2vSIqDwWvI/AAAAAAAADqY/OogQLLbz1zg/s400/Mar+23-View+1.jpg" width="298" /></a></div>My card base is white CS, the patterned papers are from SU's Manchester DSP pack, and the mats are black. I added some CTMH square rhinestones to the corners, and the strip across the middle has a punched scallop edge (although it's mostly covered up), and I tied some black grosgrain ribbon around the middle.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9hKmVbogKLs/T2vSzs4GSWI/AAAAAAAADqg/_Tn0Mqw7G_w/s1600/Mar+23-View+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-9hKmVbogKLs/T2vSzs4GSWI/AAAAAAAADqg/_Tn0Mqw7G_w/s320/Mar+23-View+2.jpg" width="247" /></a></div>I stamped the beautiful <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=7839">Blow A Kiss Jane</a> onto black CS in Versamark ink and embossed her with white EP. If you saw my card from my last post, you'll be able to see that I'm on a kick with white embossing on coloured or dark cardstock.<br />
I matted that with white CS, then again with black.<br />
I stamped the sentiment onto white CS with black ink, cut it out and added it to the corner.<br />
<br />
Next week's challenge??? <strong><span style="font-size: large;">Spring or Easter</span></strong>! Make a card with that theme using any of the images sold at Stamping Bella and send it to Emily (<a href="mailto:emily@stampingbella.com">emily@stampingbella.com</a>) by Thursday night. You have a chance to win some Bella Bucks, and your card will be published on the <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bloggabella</a>! Can't wait to see what you come up with!<br />
<br />
Have a great weekend!<br />
Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!Robin McKhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13065323201500049539noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7305230877022691466.post-18088070259312600302012-03-18T22:47:00.000-04:002012-03-18T22:47:54.194-04:00DandelionHi all,<br />
Well, it's Sunday night, and most people's weekends are coming to an end :-(<br />
I still have tomorrow off, so I am planning on getting stuff done in the day time.<br />
<br />
I wanted to get crafty today, but I felt like doing something other than my usual colouring. I'm playing around with heat embossing, and here's what I came up with:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8VI6mFQZad0/T2ad1mN0WGI/AAAAAAAADqA/Nc2yxn2ITas/s1600/2nd+Extra.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="277" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8VI6mFQZad0/T2ad1mN0WGI/AAAAAAAADqA/Nc2yxn2ITas/s400/2nd+Extra.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>My card base is Chocolate Chip CS. I used a piece of a rusty coloured cardstock, but I can't remember the name (it was one of the SU In Colors from a couple years ago), and I embossed it with the Cuttlebug Stylized Flowers folder. I sponged around the edges with Walnut Stain Distress ink, and matted it with black and white CS. I also wrapped some Soft Suede polka dot ribbon around that, and added some white pearls to the corners.<br />
I stamped <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=5786">Dandelion Wisps</a> in Versamark onto the rusty cardstock and embossed it with white embossing powder. I cut it out with Label 7 Nesties, and sponged that with the Walnut ink as well. I really like how the white pops out from the coloured paper. Definitely gonna try that again!<br />
<br />
Don't forget about our <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bellarific Friday</a> challenge this week, to make a card with our 6th sketch!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Xxv-4_ZsM5w/T2aeS9pN-UI/AAAAAAAADqI/UqLP82dno_A/s1600/Bellariffic+Friday+Sketch+6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Xxv-4_ZsM5w/T2aeS9pN-UI/AAAAAAAADqI/UqLP82dno_A/s200/Bellariffic+Friday+Sketch+6.jpg" width="159" /></a></div><br />
<br />
Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!<br />
Happy Monday to all those going back to work :-)Robin McKhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13065323201500049539noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7305230877022691466.post-6421388983934169742012-03-16T00:01:00.011-04:002012-03-16T00:01:01.083-04:00Bellarific Friday: GREEN!!!Hi all,<br />
I hope you're ready for a fun St. Patrick's Day tomorrow! I have a family event because, as it turns out, my entire family has their birthday in March, so we just celebrate everyone together.<br />
I don't think I'll be drinking any green beer, but hopefully everyone else can take advantage of this fun holiday passed on to us by the Irish!<br />
<br />
As you know, it's time for <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bellarific Friday</a>, and for me, this challenge was a great chance to make a masculine card. We were supposed to make either a St. Patty's Day card or a green card - I don't actually have any "lucky" images, so I chose the green theme.<br />
If you were able to play along with this week's challenge, don't forget to post your card on <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/">SCS</a> using the keyword <strong>BELLARIFFIC1012</strong> so that we can see it in the gallery!<br />
<br />
Here goes:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-uTbskPjP6PE/T2KhSuZI87I/AAAAAAAADpo/XPkr515p1z0/s1600/Mar+16-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="291" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-uTbskPjP6PE/T2KhSuZI87I/AAAAAAAADpo/XPkr515p1z0/s400/Mar+16-View+1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>My card base is Certainly Celery CS, and the polka dot paper is from the SU Old Olive Patterns DSP pack with a black mat. Next, I added another square of Certainly Celery CS, which was embossed with the argyle Cuttlebug folder and matted with black. I put that square on an angle, and added some Mellow Moss grosgrain ribbon around the base layer. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JbT3-5Lr_rc/T2KibAkUr7I/AAAAAAAADpw/0CstCvsstzM/s1600/Mar+16-View+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JbT3-5Lr_rc/T2KibAkUr7I/AAAAAAAADpw/0CstCvsstzM/s320/Mar+16-View+2.jpg" width="249" /></a></div>I stamped <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=5642">The Big Guy Grilling by Mo Manning</a> onto <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=395">Bella's Bestest Paper</a> using <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=1629">Memento Tuxedo Black ink</a>. I coloured him mostly with <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/index.php?cPath=146">Copics</a>, but I paper pieced his shirt using argyle paper from the same pack, and added shading and grass with Prismacolour Pencils and OMS. <br />
<br />
Next week's challenge??? Our<span style="font-size: large;"><strong> 6th sketch</strong></span> for this year! Make a card using the sketch below and any image sold at Stamping Bella and send it to Emily (<a href="mailto:emily@stampingbella.com">emily@stampingbella.com</a>) by Thursday night. You'll be entered to win some Bella Bucks and your card will be published on the <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bloggabella</a>!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eVF1RI5G-SY/T2KiiSCct7I/AAAAAAAADp4/j8fE-xwIetQ/s1600/Bellariffic+Friday+Sketch+6.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eVF1RI5G-SY/T2KiiSCct7I/AAAAAAAADp4/j8fE-xwIetQ/s320/Bellariffic+Friday+Sketch+6.jpg" width="255" /></a></div><br />
<br />
Have a great weekend and I hope you see someone wearing a shirt that says "Kiss Me, I'm Irish!".<br />
<br />

Just stopping in for a quick post...had a long day at work, and I need to jump in the bath pronto! I was eyeing one of my new Uptown Girl images from Stamping Bella and had to put something together...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-W_RgClQEV5M/T1wFn_A1V-I/AAAAAAAADpY/7jb1Ljw6fAI/s1600/1st+Extra-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-W_RgClQEV5M/T1wFn_A1V-I/AAAAAAAADpY/7jb1Ljw6fAI/s400/1st+Extra-View+1.jpg" width="296" /></a></div>White base, and black mats...the blue mat and the patterned paper are from SU's Tickets and Tokens Simply Scrappin' Kit. The aviator emblem at the top is one of the stickers from the same pack which I matted with black CS. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZKSA3h6DZ_8/T1wGPmSdk7I/AAAAAAAADpg/Om0dz3Bqh78/s1600/1st+Extra-View+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ZKSA3h6DZ_8/T1wGPmSdk7I/AAAAAAAADpg/Om0dz3Bqh78/s320/1st+Extra-View+2.jpg" width="219" /></a></div>I stamped the gorgeous <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=7848">Uptown Girl Molly Makes A Detour</a> (I think she might be my FAVE) onto <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=395">Bella's Bestest Paper</a> using <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=1629">Memento Tuxedo Black ink</a>. I coloured her with <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/index.php?cPath=146">Copics</a>, and added shading with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I sponged the outside of the panel with a very dark ink: Jumbo Java Versamagic ink. <br />
That was pretty much it - I kept it simple because the image is so awesome.<br />
<br />
Don't forget about the <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bellarific Friday</a> challenge for this week: to use green on your card or to make a St. Patrick's Day card! We shall see what you came up with on Friday!<br />
<br />

Welcome to another Friday and TGIF!!! I've had a lot of fun with my Stamping Bella images this week, and I absolutely loved the sketch we got for our <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bellarific Friday</a> challenge! Hopefully you got a chance to play along, and I'm definitely gonna hop over to the Bloggabella and check out the entries!<br />
<br />
Here's a last peek at the sketch we had to play with:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--39OShVSqbY/T1bO4oBsfiI/AAAAAAAADpA/FLvwh5Y3Tu4/s1600/Bellariffic-Friday-Sketch-5.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--39OShVSqbY/T1bO4oBsfiI/AAAAAAAADpA/FLvwh5Y3Tu4/s320/Bellariffic-Friday-Sketch-5.jpg" width="251" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

Pretty good deal for everything being pre-cut, and envelopes included :-)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">My patterned papers are from SU's Sarah DSP pack and my mats are black CS. I coloured her with Copics, and added shading with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I punched her out with Curved Rectangle Nesties, and added some Walnut Stain Distress ink to the inside of the stencil.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I stamped the sentiment (that comes with the image) onto white CS, and cut the lines out and stuck them to the image panel.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I topped things off with a yellow Martha Stewart flower in the lower left corner. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

I hope you've had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend. I get a long weekend this week, because I worked on Family Day (new Canadian holiday every February)! I'm stoked for the extra time off. Make sure you set aside some time to get crafty this weekend!<br />
<br />
And welcome to another <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bellarific Friday</a>! We had an awesome challenge this week - we are definitely a fan of the polka dot! We were all incorporating polka dots into our creations this week, and I had a blast! Surprisingly, Em has several images that have dots and spots on them, so they were great, and there are tons of patterned papers that have dots as well!<br />
<br />
And don't forget: If you made a polka dot card for this week, make sure you upload it to your <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/">SCS</a> gallery, and use the keyword <a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?si=BELLAIRIFFIC0812&x=31&y=20">BELLAIRIFFIC0812</a>! You will have an extra chance to win some moolah from Emily!<br />
<br />
Here's mine:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rFHzoeVsnzw/T07sGCh8fxI/AAAAAAAADow/E9H1IqrRcyo/s1600/Mar+2-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-rFHzoeVsnzw/T07sGCh8fxI/AAAAAAAADow/E9H1IqrRcyo/s400/Mar+2-View+1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>My card base is Sahara Sand CS, all my patterned papers are from the MME pack called Out of the Blue, and all my mats are black and white. I added a black strip punched with my Martha Stewart crown edge punch to the middle, and I also wrapped some SU Bermuda Bay grosgrain ribbon (with polka dots) around that base panel.<br />
White Martha Stewart pearls to the corners as well.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tS4gToLWXeA/T07sNbOnfwI/AAAAAAAADo4/ODEyu4O3ig8/s1600/Mar+2-View+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-tS4gToLWXeA/T07sNbOnfwI/AAAAAAAADo4/ODEyu4O3ig8/s320/Mar+2-View+2.jpg" width="211" /></a></div>I stamped <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=3992">Emma Lulu</a> onto <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=395">Bella's Bestest Paper</a> using <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=1629">Memento Tuxedo Black ink</a> (cause she has polka dots on her outfit!). I coloured her with Copics, and added some shading with my Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I cut her out using Curved Rectangle Nesties, and I added some Basic Gray sponging around the outside. <br />
<br />
Next week's challenge??? <strong><span style="font-size: large;">Our 5th sketch for the year</span></strong>! Just make any card using the sketch below and any image sold at <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/index.php">Stamping Bella</a>, and send to Emily (<a href="mailto:emily@stampingbella.com">emily@stampingbella.com</a>) by Thursday night. You'll be entered to win some Bella Bucks (ie. free product), and your card will be published on the <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bloggabella</a> for all of us to drool over!<br />

I'm just playing around with some of my images that I haven't used in a while. I think I bought this one after Paulabella used it in a colouring class - funny how they can give you that bug to buy an image you used - they make you fall in love with it!<br />
<br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I decided to make a baby card, but with a different line of images :-) And I had to turn the panel on it's side so my image would fit properly.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QNBDCK1gwso/T0WrDhGdwuI/AAAAAAAADoI/_EKfilc4HZ4/s1600/Feb+24-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="302" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QNBDCK1gwso/T0WrDhGdwuI/AAAAAAAADoI/_EKfilc4HZ4/s400/Feb+24-View+1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">My card base is Sahara Sand CS. I decided it was high time I made a get well card, and Stamping Bella has the perfect image for that! And I wanted to use some of my yummy patterned papers as well.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8KM1vkRjRZk/T0GSXHVaXRI/AAAAAAAADnw/sN9xixQc6S4/s1600/4th+Extra-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="303" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-8KM1vkRjRZk/T0GSXHVaXRI/AAAAAAAADnw/sN9xixQc6S4/s400/4th+Extra-View+1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>My card base is Sahara Sand CS. The patterned papers are from the Authentique pack called Blissful, and I used a black mat. The white square was sponged with Basic Gray ink and embossed with the Cuttlebug Argyle folder. On top of that, I added a yellow piece of patterned paper, which I cut out with Blossom Nesties.<br />
Around that whole base layer, I wrapped some black grosgrain ribbon, and added a flowery slider to the right side. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UrIlmZlc1t4/T0GSeKuqMKI/AAAAAAAADn4/fdBa1NXszH4/s1600/4th+Extra-View+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="236" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-UrIlmZlc1t4/T0GSeKuqMKI/AAAAAAAADn4/fdBa1NXszH4/s320/4th+Extra-View+2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>I stamped the cutie <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=2183">Fluey Huggabugg</a> onto <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=395">Bella's Bestest Paper</a> using <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=1629">Memento Tuxedo Black ink</a>. I coloured her with Copics and added some shading with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I sponged around the panel with Wheat Versamagic ink and I added a bunch of glitter dots all around her with my glue pen. That square was matted with black and white CS.<br />
<br />
Don't forget about our <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bellarific Friday</a> challenge this week, to use the sketch below! We always love it when you play along!<br />

Happy Friday! I hope you all have some amazing and fun plans for this weekend. On the other hand, it is pretty satisfying to get some work done around the house, so I couldn't blame you for that, if that's what you had in mind :-)<br />
<br />
Well, as you MUST know, it is time for another <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bellarific Friday</a>! For this challenge, we were all given free reign - it was an Anything Goes challenge! I'm sure this type of challenge is a favourite for many crafters...I just love the freedom of using any image and doing anything I want! I hope you were all able to play along and show off some of your Bella images!<br />
<br />
Here's mine:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CbUvSAXeB6w/Tzxzrinwt4I/AAAAAAAADng/zOINaFDAR30/s1600/Feb+17-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-CbUvSAXeB6w/Tzxzrinwt4I/AAAAAAAADng/zOINaFDAR30/s400/Feb+17-View+1.jpg" width="267" /></a></div>My card base is Sahara Sand CS. My patterned papers are from Echo Park's line called Victoria Gardens - the colours and patterns are so sweet and girly! My mats are black and white, as usual. On the pink layer, I went around it with some black stitching using my Janome Sew Mini machine. The white piece was punched at the bottom with and edge punch from EK Success. I did a bit of zig-zagging on the diamond layer as well, and added some pink Martha Stewart pearls to those corners. <br />
<br />
I stamped the beautiful <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=7839&osCsid=2ddce9e2c0506168dd8dfce1c8913404">Blow A Kiss Jane by Jane Davenport</a> onto <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=395">Bella's Bestest Paper</a> using Versafine Onyx Black ink, and embossed her with Clear EP. I added some Basic Gray sponging around the girl, and some Pretty In Pink sponging around the outside, and matted that with a black piece.<br />
<br />
Next week's challenge??? <strong><span style="font-size: large;">Our 4th Sketch of the year</span></strong>! Make a card using the sketch below and any of the images sold at Stamping Bella and submit to Emily (<a href="mailto:emily@stampingbella.com">emily@stampingbella.com</a>) by Thursday night. You'll be entered to win some Bella Bucks (aka money for free stuff) and your card will be published on the <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bloggabella</a>! Can't wait to see what you come up with!<br />

Just playing around today with one of my cute KETTO stamps from <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/">Stamping Bella</a>. I decided I wanted to use a Ketto I haven't used in a while and I wanted to use some of the new patterned papers I bought!<br />
<br />
Here she is:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4luR5VG_wcA/Tzhq8RXtqNI/AAAAAAAADnI/GXnXREfYWrc/s1600/3rd+Extra-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="272" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-4luR5VG_wcA/Tzhq8RXtqNI/AAAAAAAADnI/GXnXREfYWrc/s400/3rd+Extra-View+1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>My card base is Pretty In Pink CS. The patterned papers are from the Pink Paislee pack called Vintage Vogue. I used white and black mats. For the strip across the middle, I punched the black piece with my Martha Stewart lattice edge punch. Across that, I added some black grosgrain ribbon, and I made the bow with my Bow Easy. I stuck some black Martha Stewart pearls to the corners as well.<br />
I stamped the sentiment <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=359">Wish Big</a> in black ink onto the patterned paper.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-uGW-dE26dbM/TzhrDIELo7I/AAAAAAAADnQ/9hYowIL_-Q4/s1600/3rd+Extra-View+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-uGW-dE26dbM/TzhrDIELo7I/AAAAAAAADnQ/9hYowIL_-Q4/s320/3rd+Extra-View+2.jpg" width="221" /></a></div>I stamped <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=2806">Kenya KETTO</a> onto <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=395">Bella's Bestest Paper</a> using <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=1629">Memento Tuxedo Black ink</a>. I coloured her with Copics and cut her out with Labels 18 Nesties, and added some Wheat Versamagic sponging inside the stencil.<br />
<br />
Copics used:<br />
*Skin: E0000, E00, E11, R02, YR00<br />
*Dress: YG11, YG63, YG67, C3, C5, C7<br />
*Flowers: R81, R85<br />
*Shirt and stocking stripes: E40<br />

<br />
Welcome to another beautiful Friday! What is everyone looking forward to this weekend??? I would love to have some beach weather, but I don't know if I'll get that :-(<br />
<br />
On to brighter things...<a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bellarific Friday</a>! This week, we were challenged to use our third sketch! The sketches are so much fun, and they are a great way to make cards for the occasions coming up! Here's one last peek:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-f1iI_N_XxzA/TzSL7Zbmn-I/AAAAAAAADmw/g_kGmpthGWI/s1600/Bellariffic+Friday+Sketch+3+-+2012.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-f1iI_N_XxzA/TzSL7Zbmn-I/AAAAAAAADmw/g_kGmpthGWI/s320/Bellariffic+Friday+Sketch+3+-+2012.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>I actually turned it on its side to fit the image I was using.<br />
<br />
Here's mine:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5AXCtZJZZko/TzSNz8iUU_I/AAAAAAAADm4/A964G1d_DO4/s1600/Feb+10-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="281" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5AXCtZJZZko/TzSNz8iUU_I/AAAAAAAADm4/A964G1d_DO4/s400/Feb+10-View+1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>My card base is just white CS. Following that are these layers: black, then white, then Brilliant Blue, then white. On top of that, I added some So Saffron grosgrain ribbon, but there wasn't enough space for a bow or knot.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oRZvgWYS94s/TzSN67LdnoI/AAAAAAAADnA/ckenqk-dw7o/s1600/Feb+10-View+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="229" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oRZvgWYS94s/TzSN67LdnoI/AAAAAAAADnA/ckenqk-dw7o/s320/Feb+10-View+2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>I stamped the adorable <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=5322">Turtle Tots - Summer Girls</a> onto <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=395">Bella's Bestest Paper</a> using <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=1629">Memento Tuxedo Black ink</a>. I coloured them with Copics, and added some shading with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. Then I sponged around the edges with some Wheat Versamagic ink and matted that with black CS.<br />
I stamped the sentiment <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=528">Yummalicious</a> onto white CS, cut it out, and cut out a black mat for underneath.<br />
<br />
Next week's challenge??? <strong><span style="font-size: large;">Anything goes!!!</span></strong> I know everyone loves these - so do us Bella Babes! Make any project you want using any image sold at Stamping Bella and send it to Emily (<a href="mailto:emily@stampingbella.com">emily@stampingbella.com</a>) by Thursday night. You'll be entered to win some Bella Bucks and your card will be published on the <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bloggabella</a>! See you there!<br />

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!Robin McKhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13065323201500049539noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7305230877022691466.post-52543112999964213262012-02-05T17:05:00.000-05:002012-02-05T17:05:21.115-05:00Love MartiniHi all,<br />
With Valentine's Day coming up, they have decided to sell flowers and cards at my work for the employees to take home to their loved ones. They usually ask me to do the cards for events like these, so I got to working on a sample!<br />
<br />
I always have to keep in mind that I may have to make several of them, so I keep the colouring to a minimum, and I don't use a lot of supplies like ribbon and flowers, etc.<br />
<br />
So here's what I came up with:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZlT_q3ZLN5A/Ty78byblwmI/AAAAAAAADmY/Nd6HTsf6ymU/s1600/2nd+Extra-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZlT_q3ZLN5A/Ty78byblwmI/AAAAAAAADmY/Nd6HTsf6ymU/s400/2nd+Extra-View+1.jpg" width="308" /></a></div>My card base is white CS, then I have a Sahara Sand layer with black and Real Red mats. On the Sahara Sand layer, I added a bunch of hearts that I cut out of Real Red CS using my SU heart punch.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-axsZEXUCpu0/Ty78tgRHoyI/AAAAAAAADmg/X-_NtJA-jSY/s1600/2nd+Extra-View+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-axsZEXUCpu0/Ty78tgRHoyI/AAAAAAAADmg/X-_NtJA-jSY/s320/2nd+Extra-View+2.jpg" width="260" /></a></div>I stamped <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=833">Valentini</a> onto Sahara Sand CS with Versamark ink and embossed it with Black EP. I coloured the hearts in with Real Red and Pretty In Pink markers, and I added some glitter to some of the spots using a glue pen. I cut it out with Rectangle Nesties, and added some Sahara Sand sponging inside the stencil.<br />
I matted that with a black rectangle, then a Scallop Rectangle Nestie layer in Real Red. After looking at it, you couldn't really see the scallop layer against all the hearts because they are the same colour, so I added in 1 final white mat.<br />
<br />
Don't forget about this week's<a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/"> Bellarific Friday</a> challenge using the below sketch!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3lqNEWrW_NQ/Ty79EovSZdI/AAAAAAAADmo/RFer-ERsmyE/s1600/Bellariffic+Friday+Sketch+3+-+2012.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-3lqNEWrW_NQ/Ty79EovSZdI/AAAAAAAADmo/RFer-ERsmyE/s200/Bellariffic+Friday+Sketch+3+-+2012.jpg" width="150" /></a></div><br />

Well, I'm back from an amazing trip to New York - it was a total blast! It's good to be home - now I have to do laundry and clean up the house again :-(<br />
<br />
I got to play with some of the new stamps that Emily released before I left. I got my special stamp delivery while I was away, so that was awesome to come home to. I decided to use one of those beautiful silhouette stamps that was released - I just love those!<br />
<br />
Here she is:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6JyT4faVJWA/Ty10XzyACKI/AAAAAAAADmI/vOBDK7X-_lw/s1600/1st+Extra-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6JyT4faVJWA/Ty10XzyACKI/AAAAAAAADmI/vOBDK7X-_lw/s400/1st+Extra-View+1.jpg" width="297" /></a></div>My card base is plain white. I decided just to use one main panel because the image is quite large and I wanted the whole thing to show. Next, I used Orchid Opulence and black CS mats.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gmryjHFrpJc/Ty10dkVrLWI/AAAAAAAADmQ/17UkAXvqPWk/s1600/1st+Extra-View+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-gmryjHFrpJc/Ty10dkVrLWI/AAAAAAAADmQ/17UkAXvqPWk/s320/1st+Extra-View+2.jpg" width="222" /></a></div>I stamped <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=7840">Jane Girl</a> onto <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=395">Bella's Bestest Paper</a> using Versamagic Onyx Black ink and embossed her with Clear EP. As soon as I saw these images, I thought they were BEGGING to be embossed! I tried to take the pic so that you can see the shine.<br />
I stamped the sentiment beside her in black ink - and that comes with the image, by the way!<br />
I added some shading with a purple Prismacolor Pencil and OMS, and I added lots of glitter spots around her.<br />
I finished it off with some Pretty In Pink sponging around the outside and voila!<br />
<br />
Now, don't forget about our <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bellarific Friday</a> challenge this week - our third sketch for 2012!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6LIFbryLGyM/Ty10RPQAfHI/AAAAAAAADmA/cj2RScx541E/s1600/Bellariffic+Friday+Sketch+3+-+2012.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-6LIFbryLGyM/Ty10RPQAfHI/AAAAAAAADmA/cj2RScx541E/s320/Bellariffic+Friday+Sketch+3+-+2012.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><br />

Well, if everything has gone according to plan, I just got back from my trip to New York yesterday! I've been there a couple of times before, and it's always a great city! Does anyone have any favourite places to shop or eat there? I'd love to know all its secrets :-)<br />
<br />
Anywho, it's Friday again, which means we have a brand new Bellarific Friday challenge over on the <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bloggabella</a>! We were challenged to make either a Valentines/love card or make a red/white/pink card. Ya know, the big day is creeping up on us - only 11 days away! I hope you are ready to spend some quality time with your special someone! I have such great memories of Valentines Day just because of my mom. Even when we were kids, she would always get us a card and a present - it was such a fun holiday!<br />
<br />
Here's my card:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xmI9b281-d4/Tx-JRE75sLI/AAAAAAAADlw/iirMz-lhTkw/s1600/Feb+3-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-xmI9b281-d4/Tx-JRE75sLI/AAAAAAAADlw/iirMz-lhTkw/s400/Feb+3-View+1.jpg" width="313" /></a></div>The base is Pretty In Pink CS, and the next layer is a piece of Real Red Prints DSP, with black and white mats. The strip across the bottom is a plain black piece, then a white mat punched with my Martha Stewart crown edge punch. <br />
Below that, I added some sparkly red letters from Recollections, and a Martha Stewart Gerbera Daisy sticker in the middle.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-k8k0KrdFgeA/Tx-JXXz2_fI/AAAAAAAADl4/YAZNb6jtyYU/s1600/Feb+3-View+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-k8k0KrdFgeA/Tx-JXXz2_fI/AAAAAAAADl4/YAZNb6jtyYU/s320/Feb+3-View+2.jpg" width="245" /></a></div>I stamped <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=5011">Valentina</a> onto <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=395">Bella's Bestest Paper</a> using <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=1629">Memento Tuxedo Black ink</a> and coloured her with Copics. I also added some black Sakura Glaze pen to her eyes and some of the spots on the box.<br />
The panel behind her was made using Classic and Scallop Circle Nesties along with black, white, and Real Red CS. I embossed the red circle with the Cuttlebug Houndstooth folder for some extra texture.<br />
<br />
Copics used:<br />
*Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13, R02, YR00<br />
*Hair: C3, C7, 100<br />
*Box: R81, R85, R89<br />
*Bows: R20, R43, R46<br />
<br />

TGIF!!! Welcome to another great Friday! This Friday is extra special to me because I am on my way to New York City this morning! YAY<br />
So, this post was scheduled to hit you at the regular time, even though I have already blown town...hehe<br />
<br />
This week's <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bellarific Friday</a> challenge was an awesome sketch by <a href="http://www.ebruvatansever.blogspot.com/">Ebrubella</a>! Have one last look at it!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BEt255ClMRw/Tx42oRD1auI/AAAAAAAADlQ/hZjebhFtZCE/s1600/sketch1-250x310.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BEt255ClMRw/Tx42oRD1auI/AAAAAAAADlQ/hZjebhFtZCE/s200/sketch1-250x310.jpg" width="161" /></a></div><br />
I decided to go waaaaaay simple with this one. I am a fan of all white cards, so that's what I went with this time :-)<br />
<br />
Here's my take:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ouwJLKRZlHw/Tx44qdzsGlI/AAAAAAAADlY/tQz_9zFZ650/s1600/Jan+27-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ouwJLKRZlHw/Tx44qdzsGlI/AAAAAAAADlY/tQz_9zFZ650/s400/Jan+27-View+1.jpg" width="308" /></a></div>Guess what - all white cardstock! Could ya tell?<br />
I embossed the very bottom panel with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, and the strip on the right side was done with the Houndstooth folder. Just wanted some contrasting textures.<br />
The 2 corners are plain, but I added a bunch of white Martha Stewart pearls to fancy it up.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MFSBzXgzgM8/Tx44wDtutRI/AAAAAAAADlg/RPOZ9bLsUf0/s1600/Jan+27-View+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-MFSBzXgzgM8/Tx44wDtutRI/AAAAAAAADlg/RPOZ9bLsUf0/s320/Jan+27-View+2.jpg" width="226" /></a></div>I stamped <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=5459">Stepsisters by Mo Manning</a> onto <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=395">Bella's Bestest Paper</a> using <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=1629">Memento Tuxedo Black ink</a>. I absolutely ADORE this image. I am the younger sister, so I always see the older girl as the mean, bossy one...anyone else think that?<br />
I coloured them totally with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS, and cut them out with Scallop Circle Nesties, then added some Wheat Versamagic sponging.<br />
<br />
Next week's challenge??? Either a <strong><span style="font-size: large;">love/Valentines card or a pink/white/red card</span></strong>! Your pick, but they are basically following the same theme in the end. Make a card following that theme using any of the images sold at Stamping Bella and send it to Emily (<a href="mailto:emily@stampingbella.com">emily@stampingbella.com</a>) by Thursday night, and you'll be entered to win some Bella Bucks. And of course, we always love seeing all the cards published on <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Emily's blog</a>!<br />
<br />
Have a great weekend!<br />

Welcome to another fun and exciting challenge from <a href="http://www.someoddgirl.com/">Some Odd Girl</a>! The last challenge was a bling challenge, and wow, what entries we had!<br />
For this fortnight, we were given a picture to use as inspiration - these are always fun! Take a look at the pic:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PliD7V4EYa4/Txy71AWlQSI/AAAAAAAADk4/A7_2OAVEkiY/s1600/photo.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="180" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-PliD7V4EYa4/Txy71AWlQSI/AAAAAAAADk4/A7_2OAVEkiY/s200/photo.PNG" width="200" /></a></div><br />
OK, so many ideas, right? If you were smart enough to get your hands on any of the 3 clear stamps released as part of the birthday celebration, they are PERFECT for this challenge!<br />
<br />
Here's mine:<br />
<br />
I mainly used the colours this time - I didn't include any cupcakes, but if you want to, you definitely should! And sprinkles too!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VDRS6jE7tUg/Txy9c1iEmzI/AAAAAAAADlA/l0WZ-hwPYoU/s1600/Jan+26-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-VDRS6jE7tUg/Txy9c1iEmzI/AAAAAAAADlA/l0WZ-hwPYoU/s400/Jan+26-View+1.jpg" width="301" /></a></div>My card base is Bermuda Bay CS. All of my patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Lime Twist collection called Out of the Blue, and my mats are black. The strip across the middle was punched with the EK Success Fleur de Lis edge punch, and I added some Bermuda Bay polka dot ribbon around that. <br />
I also added Martha Stewart pearls to the visible corners, and I stamped the sentiment (which comes with the image) onto the patterned paper. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LXCHkJI9LI8/Txy9jcTUVAI/AAAAAAAADlI/9bjRngOpRg0/s1600/Jan+26-View+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LXCHkJI9LI8/Txy9jcTUVAI/AAAAAAAADlI/9bjRngOpRg0/s320/Jan+26-View+2.jpg" width="169" /></a></div>I stamped <a href="http://www.someoddgirl.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=someodd4-related.tpl&product_id=332&category_id=33&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=58">Cupcake Mae</a> onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Memeto Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured her with Copics, and her dress was paper pieced using the same patterned paper.<br />
I cut her out with a thin white border around and mounted her on with foam dots.<br />
<br />
You should definitely play along with this one - link your card up over on the <a href="http://www.someoddgirlblog.com/">Some Odd Girl blog</a>, so we can see it and oooh and aaaah!<br />
<br />
Tomorrow morning I will be leaving bright and early for a week in the Big Apple - yes, that's right, New York, here I come! So, I'll be scheduling next week's posts ahead of time (hopefully, if all goes well). Wish me luck y'all!<br />
<br />

Wow, what a late post - usually my Friday posts go live at midnight, but last night I had some computer troubles, and I wasn't able to schedule it!<br />
So, I'd still like to share Bellarific Friday with you!<br />
<br />
Our <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bellarific Friday</a> challenge this week was to use our favourite image from Stamping Bella! I'm pretty sure the majority of people agree that they can't choose a favourite, so we are all cheaters. LOL<br />
<br />
I have used this image several times, and I think it's definitely one of the best, so that's why I chose it. Here's my card:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IPwQKQZ_Sl4/TxouZMA1t5I/AAAAAAAADkg/_irtRnz7C5c/s1600/Jan+20-View+1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="326" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IPwQKQZ_Sl4/TxouZMA1t5I/AAAAAAAADkg/_irtRnz7C5c/s400/Jan+20-View+1.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>My card base is Basic Gray CS, my patterned papers are from the My Mind's Eye Lime Twist collection called Happy Go Lucky, and my mats are black. The strip across the middle has a black piece punched with a Martha Stewart edge punch, and then I added an Old Olive square on top (embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder). I topped that off with some black grosgrain ribbon tied in a knot. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ypXH5alw3hA/TxoufvtDthI/AAAAAAAADko/sTF2d4jGVtQ/s1600/Jan+20-View+2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="269" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ypXH5alw3hA/TxoufvtDthI/AAAAAAAADko/sTF2d4jGVtQ/s320/Jan+20-View+2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>I stamped the always cute and useful <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=4798">AllBoxedUpABella</a> onto <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=395">Bella's Bestest Paper</a> using <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/product_info.php?products_id=1629">Memento Tuxedo Black ink</a>. I coloured her with Copics and used my Prismacolor Pencils for shading. For the green present, that was paper pieced using the same paper pack.<br />
I punched her out with Classic Square Nesties, and added some sponging with Basic Gray ink. <br />
<br />
Next week's challenge??? <strong><span style="font-size: large;">A sketch!</span></strong> Just make a project using the sketch below and any of the images sold at <a href="http://www.stampingbella.com/">Stamping Bella</a> and send to Emily (<a href="mailto:emily@stampingbella.com">emily@stampingbella.com</a>) by Thursday night. You'll be entered to win some Bella Bucks and your card will be published on the <a href="http://stampingbella.com/blog/">Bloggabella!</a><br />
I don't think anyone could turn away Bella Bucks, especially with the release Emily has out right now!!! You all need to participate!<br />
Remember to also link your card on SCS (<a href="http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showgallery.php?si=BELLARIFFIC0212&x=25&y=14" target="_blank"><span style="color: #f6b26b;">BELLARIFFIC0212</span></a>)<br />

<br />
Hopefully you saw all of the fun stuff we have been doing this week over on the <a href="http://www.someoddgirlblog.com/">Some Odd Girl blog</a> to celebrate the 2 year birthday!<br />
<br />
Today, all of the ODDies are sharing a card we have spotted made by someone out there in blog land using our SOG images! We love seeing these in random spots around the blogosphere, so we're excited to share these with you!<br />
<br />
I spotted this card over on the Sketch Saturday blog when I was looking for a sketch to use, and one of their DT was using a SOGgy image! I was so impressed, that I had to choose this one!<br />
