On The 5th Day of Christmas, TGF Gave To Me...

Hi All,

Still plowing through the 12 days of sketches on th Greeting Farm blog.  You can find the post for the 5th sketch HERE

I decided to base my colours on SU's Hawaii Papaya DSP.  My card base is Whisper White, followed by a layer of Chocolate Chip, another layer of Whisper White, and a layer of DSP.
My horizontal panel is the same DSP, layered with Chocolate chip.  I added some Chocolate Chip Grosgrain ribbon to that, and 3 white Jumbo Brads.  The vertical panel is also the DSP and Chocolate Chip CS.
The main panel is cut from Label Seven Nestailities using Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, and a little DSP.  I stamped Yoga Anya in Versafine Black ink, embossed her with Clear EP, coloured her with Copics, and cut her out.  Then, I covered her with Versamark ink and embossed her all over with Clear EP.
My sentiment is from the Me Time Anya set. It was stamped in Chocolate Chip ink onto Whisper White CS.  I punched that out with the Word Window Punch, and stuck it onto a circle of DSP, and layered onto a Chocolate Chip circle.

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

On the 4th Day of Christmas, TGF Gave To Me...

Hi All,

This post is for the 4th of 12 sketches at The Greeting Farm.  Now, this is not my usual colour scheme or my usual feel for a card, but once in a while, you have to venture outside your comfort zone.  Not sure if it turned out OK, but here goes.  You can check out the TGF sketch HERE.

I used this cute Alice in Wonderland set, but when I checked the store, I couldn't find it, so I guess it is discontinued.

My card base is Basic Gray CS, and the layers are from the Scarlet Letter Basic Grey DSP pack, matted with Black CS.  I used that paper cause I thought it looked sort of enchanting and kind of mysterious.  The main panel is Neenah Solar White CS, stamped with the mushrooms, and coloured with Copic markers.  I also sponged some clouds on that panel with Brocade Blue ink.
I stamped Alice and the Mad Hatter in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Solar White CS, coloured them with Copics, cut them out, and mounted them with foam dots.  The "Wonderful" sentiment is also from the same stamp set, and I hand wrote the rest of it.

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

On The 3rd Day of Christmas, TGF Gave To Me...

Hi All,

I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas and some successful shopping on Boxing Day!
I am desperately trying to get through the Greeting Farm sketches - you can find the 3rd sketch at THIS post.

I decided my colour combo would be based on SU's Washington Apple DSP - love those colours!  My card base is Whisper White, followed by Basic Black and Bashful Blue.  The vertical and horizontal panels are the Washington Apple DSP, matted with Basic Black.  I used my Photo Corner Punch with black CS and DSP in the top right corner.

For the main panel, I chose the image from the My House stamp set.  I stamped it in Versafine Black ink onto Neenah Solar White CS, and embossed with Clear EP.  I coloured it with my Copic markers to try to match the paper (even though I don't have the exact matches).  That panel was also matted with black.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set - stamped in black ink onto white CS, punched with the Word Window Punch, then layered onto a piece of black CS that was punched with the Modern Label Punch.  I added a Real Red brad to the end of that panel.

I added 3 Real Red brads to the bottom, which are layered with three 1/4" circles of black CS.

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

On The Second Day of Christmas, TGF Gave To Me...

Hi All,

This is my card for the second of 12 sketch challenges on the Greeting Farm blog - leading up to their new release on New Year's Day!  Check out the post HERE.

I decided that my colour combo would be inspired by SU's retired Raspbery Tart DSP.

My card base is Whisper White CS, then a layer of Kiwi Kiss punched with my Martha Stewart Crown edge punch.  I placed some mini pink pearls from Michael's onto each point of the green.

The next layer is the Raspberry Tart DSP, then a layer of Rose Red CS embossed with the Argyle Cuttlebug folder.  I added 2 strips of pink grosgrain ribbon across that panel as well.  The sentiment says "live life in color" - from a Flourishes set called Strut Your Stuff, stamped in black ink.

I used my Classic Oval Nestabilities to punch a white oval and a green oval from the Raspberry Tart DSP.  I chose Flutter Anya - stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Neena Solar White CS, coloured her with Copic markers, cut her out, and mounted her and the ovals on with foam dots.

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

On The First Day of Christmas, TGF Gave To Me...Farm Fresh Friday

Hi All,

The Greeting Farm is posting a sketch per day for 12 days, and for the people that participate in all of the sketches, they will draw a winner to win January's entire release!  The first sketch also happened to be last week's Farm Fresh Friday challenge - you can find it HERE

Here is my take:
I decided to use the Me Time Anya stamp set.  I stamped everything in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Neenah Solar White CS, and coloured with Copics.  The extra flower, and the bathtub/Anya images were stamped onto a scrap piece, coloured, cut out, and mounted with foam dots.
The card base is Sahara Sand, then a layer of Basic Black.  The 2 strips are from the To The Nines DSP paper pack.  The sentiment is from the same set, stamped in black ink onto Sahara Sand CS, and punched with the Modern Label Punch.

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

O Verve Christmas Tree

Hi All,

This is one of the last few Christmas cards I made - still a couple more to go.

I decided I had to use the stunning tree image from the O Christmas Tree stamp set by Verve.  I stamped that image in Chocolate Chip ink onto Very Vanilla CS, and matted that with Chocolae Chip CS. I added some dots of gold Liquid Pearls to look like tree decorations.  I used a Creamy Caramel marker to add a shadow under the tree.

The card base is Very Vanilla, layered with Chocolate Chip, and Brushed Gold CS, and on top, is a layer of Very Vanilla, with the corners punched with a Martha Stewart corner punch.

The sentiment is also stamped in Chocolate Chip ink onto that layer, and the ribbon is from a past SU mini catalogue.

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Fairies 2010 Calendar

Hi All,

I decided that I would make my sister a 2010 calendar for Christmas, and since she loves fairies, I had to go to the Greeting Farm!  They have some amazing digital fairies, so I thought they would be perfect for my project!
For the calendar print-out, I got it HERE.  It was printed at 80% of its regular size.  To do that, you just right click on the calendar, and click Select All.  Then, right click on the calendar again, and click Print Preview.  Click on the drop down menu with the percentages, and click 80%.  Then print it onto white CS.  I chopped it into sections, measuring about 1 1/2" x 4 7/8", and the black mat is 1/8" larger on both sides.

For the first quarter of the year, I used the Winter Fairy HERE - printed her off, coloured her with Copic markers, and cut her out.

For her background, I used Whisper White CS, some DSP from DCWV, and some Tempting Turquoise CS punched with a Martha Stewart icicle edge punch.

I decided to switch the Spring and Summer Fairies.
For the second quarter of the year, I used Certainly Celery CS, and some retired SU DSP punched with a Martha Stewart edge punch.  You can find this fairy HERE

I also coloured her with Copics and cut her out.

For the third quarter of the year, I used THIS fairy.  Her CS is Pale Purple, and some retired SU DSP, and DCWV sparkly DSP, punched with a Martha Stewart fence edge punch.

I think this image is my favourite of the group...I guess I'm still deciding - they are all amazing!

For the final quarter, I used the Autumn Fairy.  I thought her hair should be kind of orange-y - I like how it fades from orange to brown.
For this one, I used Blush Blossom CS, Bella Rose DSP, and DCWV DSP, punched with an EK Success edge punch.

I think this fairy looks the most devilish...seems like there is a secret she's keeping.
Well, those are the close-ups of each fairy on each page.
I got this idea from Nancy Morgan's post a while back - the calendar is supposed to be the size of a standard card when folded (ie. 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"), but I had to make mine bigger to accommodate the fairies.  But the measurements of the rest of the pieces are the same.
There is one quarter of the year on each side, so after 3 months, you can just flip it around to the next season.
Here are some pics of the general project:

Well, I hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

MOJO Monday 117 - Mittens Digi

Hi All,

There is a challenge on the Verve blog to post cards and projects with the Winter Mittens Digi stamp.  Verve will be giving this digi away through December 25 HERE.  You are supposed to post the link to your project on the Verve blog HERE until 8pm Mountain time on December 31, and you have a chance to win a Verve gift certificate.  I also used the Mojo Monday sketch found HERE.

I guess you could call this a hybrid card, since it combines digital images printed on the computer, and physical supplies...
I printed the mittens and sentiments onto PTI white CS (I used the pdf version, which prints 2 pairs of mittens and a bunch of sentiments onto one page, so you can make more than 1 project).

The mittens were cut out with classic circle Nestabilities, and sponged with Sage Shadow ink.  I coloured the mittens in with Copic markers, and added 2 rhinestones.

That was matted onto a piece of Chocolate Chip CS cut out with Scallop Circle Nesties.

The card base is Whisper White, then a layer of Chocolate Chip, then a layer of To The Nines DSP (both layers punched with the Ticket CornerPunch).  The first horizontal layer is Sage Shadow CS, punched with the Scallop Edge punch, and the icicle Martha Stewart edge punch. Then there is a layer of To The Nines DSP again, followed by Satin Chocolate Chip ribbon from SU.

I cut the sentiment from the print-out, added some colour with my Sage Shadow marker, and adhered it to the top.

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Clean and Simple: Verve Wreath

Hi All,

Well, I am finishing up the last of my Christmas cards.  I decided to do a card with NO layers, and just focus on the stamping.  Sometimes those cards are just so refreshing!

I decided to go with a plain white base - I stamped the wreath and sentiment from O Christmas Tree in Memento brown ink.
I coloured my wreath with Copic markers, and added some small rhinestines to the centres of the green leaves.

I embossed a scalloped square around the wreath with my Nestabilities, and added some horizontal score lines with my Scor-Pal.

Well, I can't believe it, but that's it! I whipped this card together in minutes.

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Mr. and Mrs. Claus - with their dog

Hi All,

Another one of my co-workers asked me to make a Christmas card that she could give to her parents.  She also asked if I might include their dog on the card...hmmmm.

For the cardstock and DSP, I got them from a Close To My Heart paper pack called Jingle.  The 2 layers that are on the card base are punched with my Ticket Corner punch.  I also took some pieces of Whisper White CS, and ripped them to look like snowy hills.

The Mr. and Mrs. Claus are from the Xmas Sweeties set from The Greeting Farm.  The dog is from another Greeting Farm set - but when I checked the store, I couldn't find it, so maybe it has been discontinued.  I stamped them onto Neenah Solar White CS in Memento ink and coloured them with Copic markers.  I cut them out, and mounted them on with foam dots.

For the sentiment, I used "ho ho ho" from the same set onto white CS, and punched it out with my 1 1/4" circle punch. I added some Real Red ink to the outside of that circle.  I layered that onto a pink piece of paper punched with the 1 3/8" circle punch.  Those circles were then mounted onto a "Felt Flurry" from SU and attached to the card.

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

My Third (and final) Present Card

Hi All,

I mentioned in previous posts that a colleague at work wanted cards for her daughter's shop - this is the last sample I made for them.

My card base is Whisper White, followed by a layer of Brushed Silver CS. The silver CS is punched with an EK Success edge punch (large double scallop).  Next, is a layer of white CS, punched with an EK Success edge punch (large scallop).  The Silver and white layers were run through my Big Shot with my Snowflakes Cuttlebug embossing folder.

On each of the points on the scallops, I added silver pearls (bought at Michael's).  On the white layer, I used SU's white organdy ribbon, and my Bow Easy, and attached the bow with Mini Glue Dots.

For the image panel, I used Elegant Eggplant CS, cut out with my scallop oval Nesties, and then a white oval cut out with Nesties.
Then, I stamped the present from All Wrapped Up in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a piece of Gina K Luxury White CS and coloured it with Copics.  I cut that out and mounted it onto the oval with foam dots.

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

My Anya Project

Hi All,

Here is my Anya project - I decorated a clear paint can by Stampendous. I decided it might be nice to make a project to give to a mom or a guardian, maybe.

So, I thought of all the Anyas that might apply to any wonderful lady in general.
I decorated this paint can using Basic Gray and Whisper White CS - the white piece was punched with a Martha Stewart fence edge punch.  I used 6 different Anyas to put all around the can.  I coloured them all with Copic markers, and stuck them on with Stcky Strip.  I printed the names on the computer and punched them out with my Word Window Punch.
The lid has the words "The Many Faces of You" - printed off the computer from Microsoft Word, cut into circles with my Coluzzle, and stuck to the lid.  I also added some silver pearls between the lines.
The Celebrator: Birthday Anya

The Entertainer: Rockstar Anya

The Cheering Section: Cheer Anya

The Caregiver: Nurse Anya

The Teacher: Teacher Anya

The Bearer of Christmas Cheer: Elf Anya - Ltd Edition

So, those were the pictures of each Anya coloured and cut out.  You could fill this can with anything, really - candy, craft suplies, candy, *mmm*, etc.
Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!
Pictures to follow...
