SOG Sneak Peek: Tobie and His Puppy in Acrylic!

Hi all,

***Please scroll down to see my Bellarific Friday post!!!***
We are in our 5th day of sneak peeks for the acrylic release on the Some Odd Girl blog!  It has been so exciting so far, and today we are previewing another image! All the images are going to be released in acrylic in the SOG Store!

Today, it is Tobie and His Puppy!  This image is adorable, and is especially perfect for boy cards!  You will see him in the store on May 2!

My card base is Not Quite Navy, and the patterned paper is from Basic Grey, with PTI White mats.  I added some Jumbo copper Brads from Close To My Heart to the left side with my Mat Pack and Paper Piercer.  At the bottom, I added a Certainly Celery strip, punched with the Martha Stewart grass edge punch, and wrapped some Soft Suede polka dot ribbon around it.

I stamped Tobie onto Bella's Bestest Paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and coloured him with Copics.  I added some Atyou Spica Glitter pen onto the dog's collar, and some white gel pen to the eyes.  I cut him out with a thin white border around, and mounted him on with foam dots.

Make sure you check out the SOG blog to see what the whole ODD design team have created!

Bellarific Friday: Mother's Day

Hi all,

I LOVE FRIDAYYYYYS! I am one of the lucky people that gets to work Monday to Friday and be off on Saturdays and Sundays.  Usually in the hospitality industry, not many people have that luxury, but I am so grateful I have found a position in my field that allows me to do that!  So, when Friday arrives, I am genuinely excited!

Well, we have come to another awesome Bellarific Friday challenge over on the Bloggabella, and I must say, it is the perfect time for this!  Last week, we were challenged to make a Mother's Day card, just in time for the big event.  So now, you can check out what everyone made for the moms in their lives!

I went with a clean and elegant style this week - and NO colouring!  That is almost sacrilege to me, but I did it!
ALL of my cardstock is white today...nice and clean, but still a lot going on.

I cut out a circle of white CS with my Classic Circle Nesties, then sponged Sahara Sand ink on the circle.  Then, I stamped the absolutely beautiful Dandelion Wisps image in Versamark ink onto the circle, and embossed it with Gold EP.  I added some shadow to the dandelion with some charcoal pencil just for a bit of depth.  I mounted that onto a larger white circle, then onto that massive intricate frame using my Parisien Motifs Shapeabilities.

The sentiment is from a Verve set, and I stamped it in black ink onto white CS, and cut it out with my Fancy Tags die from Spellbinders.  I added some Sahara Sand sponging to that, as well as some rhinestones.
For the layer underneath, I stamped the dandelion again twice in Sahara Sand ink, and outlined the entire layer with a Krylon gold pen.

Please make sure you stop by the Stamping Bella blog to check out what the other Babes have created as well as the entire Sistahood!

Next week's challenge: May flowers!
Make something that has flowers on it (image, papers, etc.), and send it to Emily (emily@stampingbella.com) by Thursday night, and your card will be published on the company blog, and you will be entered to win some Bella Bucks!

Don't forget to "Like" Stamping Bella on Facebook, and you can also join in the fun on Da Forum - we are chatting it up and uploading all of our pics over there!  We will be running challenges as well, so make sure you are stopping in regularly!  It's a great place to ask questions to the Bella Babes as well if you need any advice :-)

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

SOG Sneak Peek: Smell The Flowers Tia in Acrylic!

Hi all!

Today is our 4th day of sneak peeks for the upcoming acrylic release with Some Odd Girl!  As you have probably read over the last few days, Kristy has taken the plunge, and turned 6 of her adorable images into physical acrylic stamps!  We are so excited about this release, and we are showing you 1 image per day.

Today is the day for:

Smell The Flowers Tia

She is so totally adorable - I am partial to the Tia's anyway!  She will be in the store on May 2!

My card base is Kraft CS, and my red and green papers are Daisy D's DSP from the Heirloom Red Blooms page.  I added a scalloped white strip across that.
Tia actually comes with this adorable sentiment, which goes beautifully with her name, and it matches the image!

I stamped Tia onto Bella's Bestest Paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with Copics.  I punched her out with Label 1 Nesties, and added some Bashful Blue sponging inside the stencil.  I matted her onto a black square to make it pop against the patterned paper.

Make sure you head over to the Some Odd Girl blog to check out all the DT sampled with this adorable image!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

SOG Sneak Peek: Balloon Kaylee in Acrylic!

Hi all,

It's our 3rd day of sneak peeks on the SOG blog - this week we are showing the images that Kristy has decided to turn from digital into acrylic!  These stamps are photopolymer, and they cling to your blocks!

So today, we are showing you Balloon Kaylee in acrylic - and she's adorable!  She will be in the store on May 2!

For the cardstock and patterned papers, I used the Friends & Flowers Simply Scrappin' Kit from SU.  I used a Martha Stewart edge punch on the Chocolate Chip strip, and I ruffled up some grosgrain ribbon as well.

I stamped Kaylee in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Bella's Bestest Paper, and coloured her with Copics and Prismacolor pencils.  She was punched out with Label 4 Nesties, and I added some Wheat Dew Drop sponging inside the stencil.

That's it for today, but keep checking back every day this week to see the other sneakies of the acrylic release!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

SOG Sneak Peek: Mooey in Acrylic

Hi all,

It is the second day of our acrylic sneak peeks on the SOG blog and today is a cute one!  It's Mooey!  I remember when he got released in digi form...he was my favourite image from that release!  He's completely adorable, and you need him in acrylic :-)  He will be unleashed in the store on May 2.

Here he is:

I chose to go with a very CAS (Clean and Simple) style for this one.  My card base is Kraft CS, and the brown paper is Daisy D's patterned paper from their Heirloom Red Bouquet page.  I embossed the bottom of that paper wth my Cuttlebug houndstooth embossing folder, and I stamped the sentiment (comes with the cow :-P ) in Versamark ink and embossed it with White embossing powder (EP).
The red net stuff is loooooonnnnng ago retired from Stampin' Up! I added some miscellaneous white buttons to the side with Mini Glue Dots.

I stamped Mooey in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Bella's Bestest Paper, coloured him with Copics, cut him out and mounted him on with foam dots.  I also added some black Sakura Glaze pen to his eyes.

Copics Used:
*Skin: E33, E25, E29
*Spots: E11, E13, E19
*Horns and tail: W1, W3, W7, W9
*Teats (? LOL) & Nostrils & Ears: R81, R85
*Nails and foot pads: E40 & E41

Make sure you check out the SOG blog to see what all the ODD girls have made, and to possibly win!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

SOG Sneak Peek: Dancin' Mae in Acrylic!

Hi all,

This is a really exciting time for us at Some Odd Girl!  Kristy has been doing so well with her adorable images that she has officially taken the leap from digital into physical!  She has chosen 6 lucky images to be made into photopolymer stamps!  Yes, real stamps that you can smoosh into an ink pad, and smack onto some cardstock!
I am so excited for this because, even though I love digital images for their versatility, my first love is the physical stamp!

Today, we are showing you a sneak peek of Dancin' Mae!  She is also a digital image in the store, but has been made into a stamp!  She will be released on May 2!

Here she is:

My card base is PTI White, and then I used a patterned paper rom Basic Grey's Hello Luscious paper pack - the colours are really yummy.  I added 3 jumbo brads to the side with my paper piercer and mat pack.
At the bottom, I added a piece of Wild Wasabi CS, on top of a white strip, punched with the EK Success Fleur de Lis edge punch.  I mounted those two on top of a strip of Bravo Burgundy CS.  I tied some striped Wild Wasabi grosgrain ribbon around that in a knot.  The sentiment is from an SU Rub On pack.

I stamped Mae onto Bella's Bestest CS with Tuxedo Memento ink, and coloured her with Copics.  I added some Sakura Glaze pen to her iPod, and the straps on her pants, and I coloured the centre of her belt with an Atyou Spica glitter pen.  Her shoes have some White Gel pen on them.

Make sure you check out the SOG blog for the peeks of all the new images!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

SSSC114: Bottoms Up!

Hi all,

Today, I'm playing along with the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 114 posted by Karen Giron!  This is my first time using this sketch, but it was a fun one, so I had to play!  Here's the sketch:

I got this image about 3 weeks ago, and I HAD to bring it out - it is soooo funny!  It is called All Bummed Out Baby from Stamping Bella!  Isn't he adorable?  Check out those cheeks!

My card base is Kraft CS, followed by a black layer.  The lined paper and the blue paper are from the Sassafras Wee Bundle paper pack - sooo cute!  I stamped the sentiment in black ink at the top, and that sentiment comes with the baby.
At the bottom, I added a black strip, and used some So Saffron CS to cut out the loops with a Die-Namics die.  I also added some SU buttons threaded with Linen Thread, and attached with Mini Glue Dots.

I stamped the baby onto Bella's Bestest Paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured him with Copics.  I cut him out with a thin white border around, attached him to some black CS and cut that out with another border.

Copics used:
*Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11
*Onesie: BG70, BG72, BG78, W9
*Bear: E71, E74, E77, E79

That's it for today - have a great week!
Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Bellarific Friday: Free Form

Hi all!

Another amazing TGIF to you!  This is totally my favourite day of the week, I think :)
It's time for another Bellarific Friday post over on the Bloggabella - this week was FREE FORM! That means anything goes - as long as you used a stamp sold by Stamping Bella, you were allowed to invent the rest!

Here's mine:

My card base is Kraft CS, and my green and orange patterned papers are from Cosmo Cricket's Salt Air line...it is STUNNING! Everything was matted with black, and I added some stitching with my Janome Sew Mini machine.  On the orange pieces, I added a miscellaneous rhinestone to each corner.

I stamped the adorable Rain-Never-Stopped-Me-abella onto Bella's Bestest Paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I cut her out with my new Nesties (that I bought at ScrapFest on April 8) - I think it is Label....18?  There are so many of these shapes now, it's impossible to keep track.  I matted that with black as well, and added some stitching again.  I coloured her up with Copics, and some Prismacolor Pencils for shading, and I added a cute Martha Stewart Dahlia sticker to the corner, and I stuck some miscellaneous green leaves underneath.

Here's the inside: I have used the fabulous sentiment that comes with the Bella stamp to decorate!  It says, "Anyone who says sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain" - isn't that awesome???

Make sure you stop by the Bella blog to see what all the Baberoonis have made, and remember to post your cards in the Stamping Bella Forum!

What's next week's theme?  Mother's Day!  Just make a Mother's Day card using any of the images from Stamping Bella that fit for the challenge, and email to Emilybella (emily@stampingbella.com) by Thursday night, and your card will be published on the Bloggabella, and you are entered to win some BellaBucks!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

SOG: A Challenge for the Moms!

Hi all,

It has been a fortnight, so we are super excited to bring you another challenge on the Some Odd Girl blog!  We had some lovely entries for the CAS challenge 2 weeks ago (Clean and Simple), and this time, we are challenging you to make a mom project.  You can make a Mother's Day card (which would be handy, considering it is fast approaching!), or you can make a card for an expectant mother, or a new mother, etc.
Ode to moms!

*Hint: Kristy just had the most amazing release on the 19th of April in the SOG Store, so I would check out those images, because I have a feeling you will find something perfect for our theme this week!

Here's mine:
My card is actually CAS again this week, but that was purely coincidental :-)
My card base is Sage Shadow, and on top of that is a PTI White piece with a black mat.  The white piece was stamped with a large cloud stamp from Flourishes in Bashful Blue ink - I think it is so yummy.
I also attached a strip of Bashful Blue CS, punched with the Martha Stewart lace edge punch, and on top of that is another white strip (embossed with the Cuttlebug Mesh folder) and a black mat.  I tied some Bashful Blue Taffeta ribbon in a knot around that strip.
The entiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink at the top - the stamp is from Verve, and I added some Iconz rhinestones beside 2 of the lines.

This ADORABLE image is called Tiny Baby Bottle, and s/he was released on April 19 - I think it's the cutest baby ever.  Look at that funny little curl of hair at the top! Ha!
I printed that onto PTI White CS, coloured it with Copics, cut it out with a thin white border, and mounted it on with foam dots.  I used some soft blues and greens, so I guess you would assume the baby is a boy, but when I started out, I wanted it to be gender-neutral.  Oh well!

Copics used:
*Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, YR00
*Diaper: C00, C1
*Eyes: B32, B34, B37
*Hair: *E13, E17, E19
*Bottle: E30, E31, E33, E37; C00, C1

Make sure you head on over to the SOG blog to submit your "mother" creation.  Since it's the second challenge of the month, you are not required to use an SOG digi, although it makes us uber-happy when you do!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Bride's Party

Hi all,

I hope everyone's having a great week so far!  I really can't hold off much longer for Spring - it was getting to be t-shirt weather here in Toronto, and WHAM! We get hit with snow!  What is going on???  Not a very smooth transition...my flowers have no idea whether or not to come out.

Well, let's move onto a happier topic - weddings!  I am playing with this adorable image today - BridalPartyBellas - I {heart} this image!  These girls are such a stylin' party - they are probably a blast!

I put this together using Kraft, Basic Gray, and PTI White CS, as well as some Sassafras Wee Bundle Paper (Sweetly Smitten collection) - I am loving those cheerful flowers!
The Basic Gray was punched with an SU Scallop punch, and the pretty embellishments were done using some Spellbinders Shapeabilities (Parisian Accents, I believe), and I topped them off with some miscellaneous pearls.
The sentiment is from the SU rub-on Chit Chat pack.

I stamped that awesome group of ladies onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and coloured them in with Copics, as well as some Prismacolor Pencils and OMS for shading and grass.

I added some glitter to the bride's dress for some sparkle - here's a slightly better pic of that :-)
Oh, and her dress and tiara have some Sakura glitter pen on them.

Copics used:
*Skin: E0000, E00, E11, R02
*Bridesmaids' dresses: R0000, R00, R81, R85, R89
*Bride's dress: E41, E43, C1, C3
*Flowers: Y32, Y16
*Hair: blond-Y32, Y35, Y38; brown-E71, E79; black-C5, C7, C9; red-YR00, YR15

P.S. Don't forget the Free-form challenge on Blogabella this week! You have until Thursday night to submit your "anything goes" creation to Emily to be entered in for the Bella Bucks!  But either way, your creation will be posted on the blog!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

SOG Sneak Peek: Stroller Tia

Hi all,

**Please scroll down one to see my Bellarific Friday post!!!**

As you know, this week we are doing a bunch of sneak peeks over on the Some Odd Girl blog, and today is our last day!  Kristy is releasing all her new images on April 19 in the SOG store, and you won't want to miss out!

Today, I am showing off Stroller Tia!  She is perfect for Mother's Day, or a card for a new mother!

My card base is Pretty In Pink CS, my DSP is SU Slumber Party, and everything is matted with Basic Black CS.  I added some clear Dew Drops to the corners, and I added some Eggplant grosgrain ribbon with a side bow (made with my Bow Easy).

I printed Tia onto PTI White CS, coloured her with Copics, cut her out with Label 3 Nesties, and added some Pretty In Pink sponging to the inside of the stencil.  I matted that onto a black piece, and added some dots around the outside with a white gel pen.

Make sure you check out the SOG blog for all the posts from this week - we've got some yummy-ness coming out on the 19th!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Bellarific Friday: Linda's Sketch

Hi all,

It's Friday again, and such a wonderful day it is! Next weekend is Easter - is everyone ready??? LOL

Well, I am focused on another holiday today - I have taken that leap and made a Christmas card in April :-)  I know, I know...get a life, right?  Pshhhhh, anyway!

This week at the Bloggabella, we were graced with a sketch challenge (usually my favourite!) - and our hostess with the mostess is the ever-lovely Lindabella! (P.S. I love this woman - if you haven't been to her blog, you MUST go - she is a colouring goddess!)
Here is the sketch:

That oval is pretty much PERFECT for any of the Stamping Bella images...thank you Linda!

Here's mine:
My card base is PTI White, and my patterned papers are from SU's retired Frosty Days pack - I love when Christmas colours are non-traditional!  I matted everything with black cardstock, but added a Tangerine Tango layer, which was punched on both sides with my SU scallop punch.  I also wrapped some Tangerine Tango striped ribbon around that, and my sentiment is Holiday Cheer - another awesome sentiment you can just plop onto any card!

I stamped King of the Candy Canes in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Bella's Bestest Paper, and coloured him with Copics.  I cut him out with Scallop Oval Nesties and added some Close To Cocoa sponging inside the stencil.

Copics Used:
*Crown: Y11, Y32, Y35; C00, C1, C3
*Hair: E31, E33, E35, E37, E49
*Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, YR00
*Jump Suit: G21, YG93, YG95, G28
*Candy Cane: R22, R24, R29; C00, C1
*Stocking: Y11, B32, B34, B37, B39

Happy Hump Day! We are smack dab in the middle of a sneak peek week on the Some Odd Girl blog!  We are having a blast so far, and today, I am showing you a BRAND NEW image called Momma Mae - she will be released in the SOG store on April 19!  Can you even wait that long???

Here it is:
My card base is Sage Shadow, my 2 patterned papers are from Crate Paper, and everything is matted with Basic Black and PTI White CS.  I added some straight stitching to the bottom panel, and zig zag stitching to the top panel, and some miscellaneous sticky pearls to the bottom corners.
The banner was made from a Die-namics banner die (in my Big Shot), and the Billboard Letter die from SU.

I printed Mae onto PTI White CS, coloured her with Copics, cut her out, and mounted her on with foam dots.

Keep checking back on the SOG blog for the rest of the week to see the rest of the images!

SOG Sneak Peek: Tiny Bubbles Tia

Hi all,

We are doing sneak peeks this week over on the SOG blog, and this little lady is going to be unleashed on April 19 in the SOG store!

Today is our first day of sneaks, and we are showcasing Tiny Bubbles Tia!  She's completely adorable, and I couldn't resist her!

I used some Kraft CS, as well as PTI White and Basic Black.  I embossed my Kraft piece with the dots Cuttlebug folder.  For the vertical strip, I punched a Basic Black piece with a Creative Memores Bubble punch, and then I lined it with several blocks of colours to make a rainbow.

I printed Tia onto PTI White CS, coloured her with Copics, and cut her out with Classic Rectangle Nesties.  I added some Bashful Blue and Certainly Celery sponging inside that stencil, and matted that with a black rectangle, and a scalloped white one.

That's it for today, but make sure you are stopping by the SOG blog every day this week to catch a glimpse of all our new images!  They are uber-cute!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

"Heart"-y Plant

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me what's going on with the weather?  We were starting to get some nice sunshine, and above freezing temperatures, and then we get a snow storm, and now we are heading into summer-like temps!  I just want summer, and THAT'S IT!  LOL, ok, enough demanding...

I desperately wanted to play along with some of my Spellbinders, and some delicious Bella images, so here we go...

I pulled out the lovely Hearty Plant for Lulu image - I am on a Lulu kick these days....note to self: one day I must try to use some other images :-)

So I kept it pretty clean - PTI White base, and I used some SU Slumber Party DSP with a black mat.  On top of that, I embossed another piece of PTI White with my SU embossing folder, and matted that with black.  I also added 3 Martha Stewart pearls to the left side.

I stamped the plant in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Bella's Bestest Paper, coloured it with Copics and Prismacolors, cut it out with Rectangle Nesties, and sponged some Wheat Dew Drop ink in the stencil.
I also punched out one of the Spellbinder's Fleur De Lis Pennant Shapeabilities, cut it in half, and added one half to the top of the rectangle, and one to the bottom.  Then, I plopped some more pearls in the corners.

Copics used:
*Tree branches: E49
*Tree Bow, roses and hearts: R22, R24, R27, R29
*Box: W3, W5, W7
*Box Bow: BG11, BG13, BG15
Don't forget about Lindabella's sketch challenge posted over at the Bloggabella for this week!

Bellarific Friday: Monochromatic

Hi all,

It's FRIDAYYYYYYY! TGIF!
So, I'm having a blast with all my images from Stamping Bella!  Emily has so many lines that I love - it's really hard to choose.
So for this week's Bellarific Friday challenge, we were supposed to make a monochromatic card - all shades of ONE colour.  Now, since I usually have trouble with these sorts of challenges, I kind of played it safe...I know, I know...coward!  I chose to work with the colour brown.

My card base is Creamy Caramel CS, and I used Basic Black and PTI White for all the mats.  The patterned papers are from SU's Outlaw DSP pack (which is actually a cowboy/western pack, but it had a lot of browns in it, so I just went with it).  The strip across the bottom was punched with an SU scallop punch, and I added some Linen Thread, and a clear button to that strip.
My sentiment is from Some Odd Girl stamped in black ink.

I stamped the LOOOOVVVVELY Bessie Lulu onto Bella's Bestest Paper, coloured her with Copics, and added some shading with my Prismacolors and OMS.  I punched her out with Classic Oval Nesties, and added some shading inside the stencil with some Linen Distress ink and a sponge dauber.  I matted that with a Basic Black scallop oval Nestie.

Make sure you check out the Bella blog for what all the babes have done, as well as the Sistah-hood!

Next week's challenge you ask?  Our amazing Lindabella has created a yummy sketch for us:
Just email your creation to Emily@StampingBella.com by Thursday night, and you have a chance to win some Bella bucks!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

CAS - Some Odd Girl Style

Hi all,

It's been two fun-filled weeks, so it's time to introduce another challenge over on the Some Odd Girl blog!  This time around, we have been challenged to make a Clean And Simple (CAS) project.  I can definitely do the minimalist thing!

Here's my card:
Nice and easy - my card base is PTI White CS, which was embossed with one of my SU folders.  The next layer is a piece of Kraft CS, which I embossed with my Curved Rectangle Nesties, and I wrapped a piece of white grosgrain ribbon around it, and added some Martha Stewart pearls to the corners.

I printed Bloom Mae (from the SOG store) on PTI White CS, coloured her with Copics, and cut her out with the smaller Curved Rectangle Nestie.  I also added some neutral sponging inside that stencil.  I always add white gel pen to her eyes for some depth as well.

Don't forget to stop by the SOG blog to see what the whole DT have come up with, and to enter your own Clean and Simple creation!  REMEMBER: This is the first challenge of the month, so to be eligible to win the prize, you must use a Some Odd Girl image! We love seeing what you've got!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!
