SOG Challenge: A Sketch

Hi all,

It's been a whole 2 weeks since our last challenge, and it's Thursday morning, so let's get things started!  As you know, Some Odd Girl just had an amazing release of digital images, and the whole DT are working with those today!  Kristy has truly outdone herself, and just wait until you see what else she has up her sleeve!
You can see all of the ODDies' creations on the Some Odd Girl blog!

So this week, we were given a really fun sketch to work with (my favourite kind of challenge, by the way), and here is a peek:

I loved it - it screams out for me to use some yummy patterned papers :-)

Here's mine:

My base is Kraft CS, all my patterned papers are from the Echo Park series called Merry Christmas, and all my mats are black and white CS.  For the bracket at the bottom, I punched the black piece and the polka dot piece with a Die-Namics die, and I added some adhesive rhinestones to the corners.
The strip across the middle was punched with an EK Success edge punch (kinda looks like postage).
The circles were cut with Nesties, and I added some shading to the white circle using my Jumbo Java Versamagic Dew Drop ink.
The sentiment is an SU rub-on, and I punched that out with the 1 3/4" Cirlce Punch.

I printed the adorable Mistletoe Kaylee onto Whisper White CS, coloured her with Copics, and cut her out with a thin white border around.  She is absolutely darling and there are so many images from this release that are equally cute!  You will definitely find something to use for this year's Christmas cards!

You have 2 weeks to play along, so just make a card using the sketch, and link it up on the SOG blog.  SOGgy images are not required, but we LOVE seeing them!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!
