Bellarific Friday: Ebrubella's Sketch

Hi all,

TGIF!  I'm so happy it's the weekend - I can't even explain.  Even though my weekends are supposed to be "productive" with cleaning and getting errands done, etc.
I still use them for fun (shhhhhh!). Ha ha

Well, it's time for another edition of Bellarific Friday!  I LOVE these challenges so much.  Hope you do too!  Last week, we were given an awesome sketch created by Ebrubella, which everyone loved!  Here's one last peek:

Awesome main panel, and great potential for some patterned papers, I say!

Here's mine:

As is my usual, my base is Kraft CS.  Next, I added a Rose Red panel, then another Kraft panel.  On top of that, I added 2 fun pieces of patterned paper from my new My Mind's Eye Lime Twist pack called Happy Go Lucky (love the colours!), then a black mat.  I put a piece of white grosgrain ribbon across that and added some adhesive rhinestones to the corners.

Now, excuse my extra LARGE main panel.  After I stamped and coloured the image, I realized the scale might not be exactly what I wanted.  I still kept the main idea of the sketch - it just takes up more space than it should :-(
However - I have missed my Mo Manning images, so it was the perfect time!
I stamped Housework Fairy onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her in with Copics.  I added some shading around her with a Prismacolor Pencil (Muted Turquoise) and OMS, some sponging around with Pretty In Pink ink, and put her onto a black mat!
I added a couple of staples to the corner, and 2 strips of paper to the other corner, and topped it off with a paper flower and a striped brad.

Next week's challenge??? Bring on the stripes!  Use striped paper or embellishments - we just wanna see 'em!  Submit a card using stripes and any of the images sold at Stamping Bella to Emily (emily@stampingbella.com) by Thursday night, and you'll be entered to win some Bella Bucks, and your card gets published on the Bloggabella!  And we get to drool over them also (we Babes love doing that).

Have a fabulous weekend!

Hope you enjoyed, and thaks for stopping by!

The scale looks GREAT Robin! haha, I am glad I am not the only one who has the 'ooops' moments. We gotta stick to our guns though, because when we are filling our days with cleaning and errands, no time to toss away our hard earned coloring projects. hehe. The cleaning fairy can come to my house this weekend...pleeze? That broom will make it to Michigan!

Robin your coloring on this fairy is just awesome! And I really wish she would make a stop in NY too 'cuz I have a hard time trying to find time to create and clean. A girl has her priorities ya know? I really like the look of raising the image panel completely over the design paper and yet framing that..(does that make sense?) I looks like art!
