Lucy KETTO

Hi all,

I was playing along today with some of my KETTO stamps from Stamping Bella - they are sooo cute, and I remember having to have THEM ALL when they were first released. LOL
I have a couple of pages full of them in my stamp binders.  What can I say?  Can't help it.

I decided to pull out the girly and pretty Lucy KETTO for some play time.  Here she is:

My card base is Sage Shadow, and the patterned papers are from SU's Nouveau Chic DSP pack, with black mats, of course.  The white strip down the left side was punched with the Martha Stewart edge punch (lace something? LOL).  I wrapped some silver organdy ribbon down that strip as well.
For the base panel, I punched a rectangle out of the patterned paper with my Label 7 Nesties, and I matted that onto a black rectangle, so that the black would show through the middle.  I think it looks like a black layer on the top, but it's actually the black from underneath.

I stamped Lucy onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and coloured her with Copics.  I punched her out with a smaller die of the Label 7 Nesties, added some shading with Prismas, and some sponging with Basic Gray ink.

Copics used:
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, R02
Wings & skirt liner: E41, E43
Skirt: BV23, BV25, BV29
Shirt: G21, G24, G28, C1, C3, C5

Hope you're enjoying your weekend - it's a long one for us in Canada - Monday is a holiday! Woo hoo!  Take advantage of the beautiful weather!

And don't forget Friday's metal challenge for Bellarific Friday!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Robin this is stunning! I love all the soft colors. And I hate to admit I never use the BV copics, perhaps it's time to dust them off! Oh and what a paper saver to cut a layer out of the dp so the black mat showed through...I had to read this two times to figure out what you did I was sure it was a mat to the image panel. Clever! Enjoy your holiday!

Do you ever made a video tutorial on shading the sides or background? I cant seem to get that part!
