Another Tiny Tia

Hi all,

I am entering a few challenges, and I am using another Tiny Tia image from Some Odd Girl!  Just wait until September 21, when Kristy unleashes the amazing release she has been cooking up!

I am entering the Allsorts challenge this week (park theme), as well as the Crafty Catz challenge (orange, blue and brown), and the Sketch Saturday challenge.  Here is the sketch:

So, here it is:
I have a white card base, and my brown CS is Soft Suede, punched with a scallop edge punch.  Next, is a layer of Haiku DSP (orange), matted with Basic Black, and punched with a Martha Stewart edge punch.  Across that there is a blue strip of Petals & Paisleys DSP, and a piece of Soft Suede polka dot ribbon.  The sentiment is an SU rub-on.

I printed Tia off onto Neenah Solar White CS and coloured her with Copics.  I used the "out of the box" technique with my square Nesties to cut out her panel.  I matted that with a Basic Black square Nesty, and I added my embellishment to the bottom corner, instead of the top.  It is a flower from a Martha Stewart package that I got at Michael's.

Don't forget to head over to Some Odd Girl for your digi needs, and get the monthly freebie! Also, head on over to the SOG blog to see what challenge is running, and be sure to enter your creation!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Challenges entered:
- Allsorts Challenge #67 - Park Inspiration
- Crafty Catz Challenge #47 - Orange, blue and brown
- Sketch Saturday #118

A Blog Award and Some Orchids

Hi All,

I have a card to show you today, and I also received something from a fellow blogger!  When I checked my email, I found that I had a blog award from Monique!!!  Thank you Monique, that is sooo sweet of you!  Here are the rules for playing:

1. Thank the person who gave you the award...done.

2. Copy the award on my blog...done. (also on my sidebar)

3. List 3 things you like about yourself:
- I am really good at math, and most things related to math...ie. Economics, Accounting, Revenue Management, etc.
- I love animals - they give me lots of joy.
- Travelling is one of my life's passions - I take at least 2 trips per year, and I love to experience new places!

4. Post a picture that you love:
I am posting a picture from a dolphin-watching excursion I was on when I went to New Zealand.

5. Tag 5 people to give this award to (in no particular order):
- Kim

Now, onto a card.  I made this card for no reason at all, save for the fact that I love the image.  I used the Pot O'Orchids For Lulu image from Stamping Bella.  This collection of images is so much fun and has a really whimsical feel!

My card base is Whisper White, and I added a green piece of Porcelain Prints DSP with a Basic Black mat, and stitched them with my Janome Sew Mini.  I tied a huge bow with some Organdy ribbon and my Bow Easy, and stuck it to the top with a Mini Glue Dot.

The main panel is Bella's Bestest paper, and I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and coloured it in with Prismacolor Pencils.  I matted that with a Basic Black piece, and added some blue pearls to the left side.  I also had some scraps leftover from a Spellbinder's die cut I did, so I attached some of them to the right side of the panel, and added some blue pearls to that as well.

Thank's it for today.  Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Cupcake Challenge

Hi all,

Well, who doesn't love cupcakes???  InStyle Stamps is sponsoring the challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations this week!  Here is the inspiration piece we got to work with:

I absolutely LOVED these colours!  I took the colours from this picture, as well as the 4 squares with the circles inside.  Here we go...

I went with a CAS card - the colours were so busy, and I didn't want the whole thing to make me dizzy.  Hey, that rhymed a bit - I'm a poet, and I don't even know it!  OK, cheesy.

My base is Whisper White CS.  I punched out 4 squares with my 1 1/2" square punch from white, Pumpkin Pie, and Cameo Coral CS.  I punched out a few circles from Lovely Flowers DSP and Washington Apple DSP with my 1 1/4" circle punch.  I adhered them to the squares in random patterns, and cut off the excess.  I added some Rich Razzleberry polka dot ribbon underneath that, and I stamped a sentiment from CTMH in Rich Razzleberry ink at the very top.

Going with the theme of the blog, I chose to work with Cupcake Chloe - an adorable digi image from ISS!  She was printed onto PTI White CS, coloured with Copics, and cut out.  I attached her just to the left side of the cluster of squares.
Make sure you play along with the Cupcake challenge, and you might win a great prize from InStyle Stamps!
Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

InStyle Stamps Blog Hop

Hi All,

It's that time of month again - another blog hop with InStyle Stamps!  This month, our theme was the end of summer - I chose to focus on the "back to school" part of that.  A sad time for some, and a really happy time for others (ie. moms LOL)!  If you came here from Kristine's blog, then you are on the right track!  If not, please head back to the ISS blog to start at the beginning.  As always, once you are done hopping, go back to the main blog, leave a commnt, and vote for your favourite DT creation - you have a chance to win an awesome prize (a $25 goodie bg from ISS)!

For my card, I chose to use Molly - I used the digi format, but she is also sold in rubber HERE.  I used mainly Whisper White CS, and the green CS and patterned papers are from an awesome care package I got in the mail from Virginia!  I used the Martha Stewart crown edge punch on the green piece, and added some miscellaneous pink rhinestones from Michael's to each peak.

I printed the sentiment on my computer and punched it out with a 1 3/4" circle punch.  That was mounted on to a chipboard circle, which was covered with the same green CS.  Of course, I added some rhinestones to that panel.

Molly was printed onto PTI White CS, coloured with Copics, and cut out with rectangle Nestabilities.  I added some Pretty In Pink sponging to the inside of that - and I also added some pink fun flock to one of the shopping bags - can you tell she is not really shopping for school supplies?  LOL

Your next stop on the hop is Angelique's blog! I'm sure you will love it!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Bellarific Friday: Anything Goes

Hi all,

This week's Bellarific Friday challenge on Bloggabella is: Anything Goes!  That means a free-for-all for all us participants!  I opened my binder with all my Bella images, and I thought: WHAT SHOULD I CHOOSE???

Well, it's been a while since I used a Bella, and I think my favourite Bella of all time is Allboxedup-abella, so that made my decision!

I went with a very simple layout, so that I could really showcase the image - just a couple of large panels, and that's it!

My base is Whisper White - I added a piece of DSP from a retired SU pack called To The Nines on top of that.  The ribbon I used is Kraft Taffeta, and I tied the bow with my Bow Easy.  I added some black pearls to the ribbon as well.

My main panel is Bella's Bestest CS, matted with Basic Black.  I stamped Bella onto the main panel once, then I stamped her again onto a separate piece of CS, and again onto some polka dot DSP.  I coloured her with Prismacolor Pencils and Copics.  I cut out the image on the white piece and popped it up on Dimensionals, and I cut out one of the presents from the DSP and paper pieced it on (after adding a bit of brown shading).  I also stamped my sentiment at the top in Memento Tuxedo Black ink - that's from the Bella store too.

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

A Tiny Sneak Peek

Hi all,

I have something really fun to show you...Some Odd Girl will be having an AMAZING release on September 21, and the DT will be showcasing some new images here and there up until the release!  I made a card to throw in for the following challenges:

- C.R.A.F.T challenge 64: Inspiration piece - I took the colours, and the sugared candy feel.  I actually missed the deadline for that challenge, but I used the picture anyway.  However, I will be using my card for this week's challenge: anything goes!

- Charisma Cardz challenge 33: Die Cuts - I used my Nesties!
- Crafty Catz challenge 46: Buttons and Butterflies
- Crazy 4 Challenges challenge 51: Sketch - I had to move my sentiment slightly

- Sassy Cheryl's Challenge 26: Polka Dots
- Stamp With Fun challenge 73: Card for a girl
- Digi Doodle challenge 21: Anything Goes

Here it is:

Kristy is releasing a whole whack of Tiny Tias and Tiny Tobies, so I am giving you a sneak of Bu'fly Tia and Friend (notice that her friend is a ladybug).  Also we will be having a really fun competition coming soon, but that's all I'm gonna say about it...you'll have to keep your eyes out!

I used Whisper White and Kraft CS for the card base.  On the large panel, I added a bunch of multi-coloured circles of different sizes, which I covered in clear glitter to mimic the candies in the inspiration pic.  My oval is a die cut from Nestabilities, and I ran the Bermuda Bay piece through with my Swiss Dots embossing folder.  I added 3 So Saffron buttons to the left side, and I punched out some butterflies with a Martha Stewart punch using coral CS.  The sentiment is from Stamping Bella - it really goes with everything!

Tia was printed onto Neenah Solar White CS, coloured with Copics, cut out and mounted with pop dots.  You should stop over at the SOG blog to see what challenge is running - you have a chance to earn free digis from Some Odd Girl!  You should also check out the freebie for this month, if you haven't already!
Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Baby Week at InStyle Stamps

Hi all,

We are having a celebration of baby week over at the InStyle Stamps blog!  It is also release week, so you will see of lot of fun new things in the ISS Store

For my baby project, I made a card for a new and girly arrival!  I used the digi Ellie, which is being released this week!  She is sooo cute, and a perfect image for the little ones!

I used Pretty In Pink, Basic Gray, and Whisper White CS.  My DSP is a retired pack from SU called Slumber Party, and it has all pinks and purples.  The border was done with an EK Success edge punch, and I wrapped some purple ribbon around the base layer, and added a pink bow that was made with my Bow Easy.

I cut out my main panel with Label 2 Nesties, and sponged some Pretty In Pink ink on the inside.  My image was coloured with Copics, as usual.

Ellie was printed twice onto PTI White CS - one cut out with the Nesties, and the other one was coloured and cut and layered on with Dimensionals.

We hope you've been enjoying baby week so far! Thanks for stopping by!

Bellarific Friday: A Sketch

Hi all,

I threw in another card for this week's Bellarific Friday challenge over at Bloggabella!  This week, Paulabella designed a sketch for everyone to use!  Here it is:

Nice and simple, right?  Here we go!

I decided to just stick with Basic Black and Whisper White CS, so I could just highlight the image with colour.  I added score lines to the 2 white panels, as well as black pearls to all the corners and the diamond panel.  The sentiment is from CTMH, which was stamped with Versamark, and embossed with Black EP.  I added a little snippet of white satin ribbon to the right of the sentiment panel as well.

I stamped Prezzies for Lulu in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Bella's Bestest CS, and coloured it in with Prismacolor Pencils.

The prezzies were stamped once on a white diamond, with a black mat.  They were stamped a second time, so I could cut them out and layer them for some dimension.

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

InStyle Stamps Colour Challenge

Hi all,

Thanks for joining us with this month's colour challenge at the InStyle Stamps blog!  Taylor has chosen a yummy picture for us to work with this week - some nice blues and greens...really makes me want a lemonade or a mojito!

I made a bookmark because I am always reading!  Here it is:

My base is Certainly Celery CS.  On top of that, it is Soft Sky and Whisper White, and I added a scallop border to that with an SU punch.  I added 2 pearls to each corner for some pretty!  I cut out a smaller piece of Whisper White with my square Nesties, and sponged some Soft Sky and Certainly Celery inks to create the scene - I also added some grass with a misc stamp.

I printed the digi Paula onto PTI White CS, coloured her with Copics, cut her out, and mounted her onto the bookmark with Dimensionals.  If you are so inclined, you can also find Paula in rubber HERE!

This is one of those bookmarks that sits on the corner of the book...

Don't forget to head over to the ISS blog to see what the DT have done and to enter your own creation using those colours!  You have a chance to win digis from the ISS store!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Hi all,

I decided to throw in for a few challenges this week...I used one of the past freebies from Some Odd Girl - Hang 10 Kody!

Allsorts Challenge #65: Paper Piercing
Craft Your Passion #19: Anything Goes
Lili of the Valley #60: Four Seasons (Summer!)
OLLCB #60: Spots and Dots

My card base is Whisper White, and I added some bursts of paper piercing to each corner.  The rectangle panel is a Basic Black mat, with So Saffron (embossed with the Shell Collage folder) and Brocade Blue CS (embossed with the Swiss Dots folder).  I draped some black grosgrain ribbon around the seam of that layer.

Kody is printed onto Neenah Solar White CS, coloured with Copics, and cut out with Label 4 Nesties.  I added some black pearls to the left side as well.

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Some Odd Girl Digi Day

Hi all,

It is Digi Day for Some Odd Girl over at SNR!  Head over to the SOG Group to check it out!  We are having challenges and games today, and lots of chances to win free stuff!

I made a sample for Leah's challenge: 2 or more bows!

I used this 50's Kaylee, which Kristy have us on our first Digi Day - who knows what will be up for grabs this time?

I used all white carstock, and I embossed with Label Four Nesties, then cut out a smaller Nesty inside that.  I stamped a sentiment from Kraftin' Kimmie in the top right corner in Basic Black ink.  I made 2 bows with some peach satin ribbon using my Bow Easy, and atached them with Mini Glue Dots.  I added some half back pearls to the bows as wel.

I printed Kaylee onto Neenah Slar White CS, coloured her with Copics, cut her out, and mounted her on with Dimensionals.  I love that finger wave!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!  Make sure you head over to the SOG Group to see the chitter chatter and play some games and challenges!

Little Tyke on a Trike

Hi all!

I made another birthday card for an upcoming birthday - there are some special little twins that will be turning two!  I HAD to pull out one of my images by Mo Manning.  Bye Bye Girl is sold in rubber at Stamping Bella, or in digi at Mo's Digital Pencil.  Something for everyone!

My card base is Kraft CS, and I embossed it with my Dots and Spots Cuttlebug folder.  The next layer is Whisper White, also embossed, and I stitched that layer to the base with my Janome Sew Mini.

I stamped the rubbah version of Bye Bye Girl in Memento Onyx black ink onto Bella's Bestest CS, and coloured her with Prismacolour Pencils, and OMS.  I layered her onto a Basic Black mat.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is also by Stamping Bella, and I stamped that in black ink on Kraft CS, and punched it out with my Word Window punch.

I'm sure you'll agree - these images are just to-die-for!  And they are a blast to colour!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Bellarific Friday: Bling It On!

Hi all,

I played again in this week's Bellarific Friday challenge from Blogabella!  The challenge for this week was to bling it up - add some sparkle or shine!

I decided to break ou my Ketto's Clothesline, as well as Ketto's Fancy Dresses.  This is for a girl's night out!  For my bling, I added some shiny rhinestones, and I used clear, purple, and green glitters on my image!

My card base is Kraft CS, and the next layer is Whisper White, which was embossed with my dots Cuttlebug folder.  I added 3 miscellaneous rhinestones to the left side of that panel.  The ribbon is a white satin ribbon from SU, which I ruffled, and I tied off the end with some Linen Thread.  The sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie, stamped in black ink, and punched out with my Word Window punch.

My images were stamped onto Bella's Bestest cardstock, and coloured with Copics and pencils.  I stamped the outer 2 dresses and the clothespins onto a scrap piece so I could colour them and layer them with Dimensionals.

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

SOG Stash Challenge 6: Ribbons and Rub-ons

Hi All,

Thanks for dropping by to peek at the 6th Stash Challenge from the Some Odd Girl blog!  This week, our challenge is to use ribbons and rub-ons - HOW FUN?!?!  We have now split our massive DT in 2 teams, and I am Team Stash, so here we go!

We are also using this challenge to celebrate our awesome release on August 10 - you can pick up your images at the Some Odd Girl shop HERE.  There's something for everyone!

I chose to showcase the lovely Balloon Kaylee.  She's perfect for any birthday or other celebration, and the SOG images are so great for colouring, you can match them with any patterned papers!

My card base is Kraft CS, and I have also used Handsome Hunter, Whisper White, and Manchester DSP from SU.  I used the Ticket Corner Punch on all of the panels and mats.  On the large piece of DSP, I added a lot of sponging with some Soft Suede ink to dull it a bit.  I wanted the card to be on the neutral side...ahhhh, nice and relaxing.  I used 3 pieces of Soft Suede polka dot ribbon tied in knots width-wise.  The sentiment is a rub-on from SU - "BIRTHDAYS are the best!".

I printed the adorable Kaylee onto Neenah Solar White CS, coloured her with Copics, cut her out with a small white border around, and mounted her on with Dimensionals.

Make sure to stop by the SOG blog to see what the whole DT have done, and to enter your own creation using ribbons and rub-ons!  You have a chance to win some awesome digis!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stoping by!

InStyle Stamps: Inspiration Challenge

Hi all,

Well, this is our second Inspiration challenge over at the ISS blog (replacing the Over the Hump Day Blog Candy Giveaway)!  This month, Taylor chose an adorable nursery picture for us to use as inspiration.  Taylor got this modern-looking nursery picture from Room Decorating Ideas:

Really cute, right?  I'm sure everyone's first instinct is to make a baby card...I went with a gift box for a guy instead.  I took the blues and the browns for my project, and instead of the crib, I added a white fence.  But, you can use this picture any way you like - you can use the colours, the theme, the elements in the picture can inspire a layout - anything!

Here is my creation:

I made this box, which I found on Nicole Heady's blog a while back (can't remember the exact post, though).  I also gave the tutorial and measurements this past Monday from the ISS Method Monday post - it's really quick, and only uses one sheet of cardstock, with some other paper scraps!  My box is made of Soft Suede CS, and I used Sticky Strip to put it together.  I also used some Blue Bayou Prints DSP for some added layers, and I stuck some Soft Suede polka dot ribbon around the box as well.  The white strip at the back is Whisper White CS, punched with my Martha Stewart fence edge punch, and the letters are white foam Thickers.

I printed Jax onto PTI White CS, coloured him with Copics, and cut him out. Stuck him on with the usual Dimensionals too.  I used the digi Jax, but if you prefer the feel of succulent, red rubbah in your hands, you can get him as a stamp HERE too!

Don't forget to head over to the ISS blog to see the whole DT lineup, and to submit your own creation using the inspiration photo to try and win 4 digis of your choice from InStyle Stamps! You have a month to play!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Buds Birthday

Hi all,

I made this card for my niece's birthday - it is coming up next month.  She is about to turn 2, and they have a big dog named Baron (Chocolate Lab).  My image is called Buds from Mo's Digital Pencil.  Here it is:

How adorable is she???  I wish I was that size...I wanna sleep on top of a dog!

I went with a really simple layout - I wanted the image to be in the spotlight!  My card base is Whisper White, and I added some button embossing with a Cuttlebug folder.  I also wrapped some yellow satin ribbon around the base, and I attached a bow which I made with my Bow Easy.

I printed the image onto Bella's Bestest cardstock, and coloured her with Prismacolour pencils.  I stamped the sentiment (from Stamping Bella) at the top using my Stamp-a-ma-jig...lots of effort, can you tell???  I added a Basic Black mat behind that.

I think they will like it - what do you think?

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Don't walk....RUN!

Hi everyone!

Why the title?  Because I think you should run over to Some Odd Girl to see the new release!  Wait til you see what Kristy has cooked up for you!

The Stash Team at SOG will be showcasing the new images for this week's challenge over at the SOG Blog on Thursday, so check back in for that!

And that's not the only exciting thing going on.  If you haven't done so already, you should definitely head over to the FREEBIE section to pick up the adorable image for this month!

Happy shopping!

Bellarific Friday: Paper Piecing

Hi all,

Well, I decided to throw in a creation to participate in this week's Bellarific Friday at the Stamping Bella blog!  They challenged us to use some paper piecing on our project.  Shouldn't be toooooo difficult, right?

I used the completely adorable image called Izzie Has A Brelly by Christy Croll.  At first, I hadn't noticed these images, but then I saw what some of the Bella Babes were doing with them, and I was sold!

My DSP is from SU's Porcelain Prints pack, and I used Whisper White, Basic Black, and Basic Gray CS.  I also added some white zig-zag stitching around the base layer.  The ribbon is some Blue Bayou double stitched ribbon from SU.  The sentiment is also from the Bella store, but it came with another image - I thought it went well with the whole rainy/umbrella thing!  It was stamped with black ink, and punched out with a Word Window punch.  I added a white flower to the left side, which I folded in half.  I also added some glitter spots above the umbrella - it kinda looks like magic raining down on her.

I stamped Izzie onto Bella's Bestest cardstock, and coloured her with Prismacolour pencils.  The paper piecing is on her dress - I used some Blue Bayou Prints DSP...the one with the white flowers on it.

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!
