Lucy KETTO

Hi all,

I was playing along today with some of my KETTO stamps from Stamping Bella - they are sooo cute, and I remember having to have THEM ALL when they were first released. LOL
I have a couple of pages full of them in my stamp binders.  What can I say?  Can't help it.

I decided to pull out the girly and pretty Lucy KETTO for some play time.  Here she is:

My card base is Sage Shadow, and the patterned papers are from SU's Nouveau Chic DSP pack, with black mats, of course.  The white strip down the left side was punched with the Martha Stewart edge punch (lace something? LOL).  I wrapped some silver organdy ribbon down that strip as well.
For the base panel, I punched a rectangle out of the patterned paper with my Label 7 Nesties, and I matted that onto a black rectangle, so that the black would show through the middle.  I think it looks like a black layer on the top, but it's actually the black from underneath.

I stamped Lucy onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and coloured her with Copics.  I punched her out with a smaller die of the Label 7 Nesties, added some shading with Prismas, and some sponging with Basic Gray ink.

Copics used:
Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, R02
Wings & skirt liner: E41, E43
Skirt: BV23, BV25, BV29
Shirt: G21, G24, G28, C1, C3, C5

Hope you're enjoying your weekend - it's a long one for us in Canada - Monday is a holiday! Woo hoo!  Take advantage of the beautiful weather!

And don't forget Friday's metal challenge for Bellarific Friday!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Bellarific Friday: Merry Christmas!

Hi all,

TGIF to you again!  I have had such a busy week, and the end is not in sight!  My craft room is in a shambles, and my computer has died! (I'm posting this from my parents' computer)
So, I'm desperately trying to get through everything - let's call it an adventure! LOL

This week, over on the Bloggabella, we were challenged to make a Christmas card in July!  My absolute favourite holiday, and it was a pleasure to make this card.

Here it is:

My card base is Kraft CS, and the fun patterned paper is from a glittered DCWV winter pack - the papers in there are awesome!  I added a white piece across the middle, which was punched with my Martha Stewart icicle edge punch, and I threw some white and turquoise ribbon across that.

I stamped the ADORABLE I Even Love the Box by Mo Manning onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and coloured him with Copics.  I added some shading with my Prismas and OMS, and matted that with a black, then another Kraft piece.
Hope you likey!

Next week's challenge???  Heavy metal!  Em wants you to use some sort of metal on your card.  Challenging enough?  So, make a card using some metallic shtuff and any image sold at Stamping Bella, and send it to Em by Thursday night.  Your card will be published on the company blog on Friday, and you will be entered to win some Bella Bucks!
Everyone enjoy your weekend - it's a long holiday weekend here in Canada! Happy Civic Day!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

SOG Challenge: Thank you!

Hi all,

Happy Thursday!!! Know why?  Cause it's closer to the weekend LOL.
It has been a couple of weeks since our last challenge, and it's time for a new one!  I hope you're all enjoying the clear release we had recently - they are some of Kristy's best work for sure!

This week's challenge on the SOG blog is to make a Thank You card - this should be SUPER easy, and you have no excuse not to play along.  And we all know that thank you cards are in demand, and always come in handy.

Here's mine:

My cardstock and my patterned papers are all from the SU Simply Scrappin' Kit called Tickets and Tokens.  I used black and white mats, and the strip across the middle is punched with the Martha Stewart lattice edge punch.  I used some pretty black Martha Stewart pearls for the corners.

I stamped Photo Kaylee onto Bella's Bestest Paper with Memento Tuxedo ink.  I coloured her up with Copics, and added some shading with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS, and I cut it out with Label 4 Nesties. I added some Wheat Versamagic ink inside the stencil.  My sentiment is an SU Rub-on.
Easy peasy!

Make sure you make a thank you card, and link it up over on the SOG blog - we want to see what you've got!  We are expecting TONS of entries for this one!  You have chances to win some digis too!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Bellarific Friday: A Sketch!

Hi all!

Welcome to another Friday - I'm a happy camper.  I have some fun plans this weekend, including a water park (and maybe some cleaning, but we will ignore that until it approaches).  And definitely some stamping, if I have anything to say about it.

As usual, Em has an awesome post going up on the Bloggabella to showcase everyone's amazing creations with Ebrubella's sketch!

Ebru gave us a choice of the circle or the square!  How awesome is she?

Here's mine:
I went with the square version.  My base is Ballet Blue CS, and I added a polka dot piece of Almost Amethyst patterned paper with a black and a white mat.  I rounded the 2 right-hand corners of that layer with a corner rounder punch.
On top of that, I added a black scallop circle (cut with an SU Bigz die and my Big Shot), and I ran that through my Big Shot in the Lots of Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder for some more texture.  I punched out some white arrows with the My Way punch, and stuck 'em on.
The sentiment comes with the image (bonus!).

The flower is an SU Sticky Cuts die cut covered with some yummy micro fine glitter, and I punched out some mini flowers, scrunched them together, added a blue brad to the middle, and stuck them onto the glittery one.

I stamped Perk Me Up PEEPs onto Bella's Bestest Paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them with Copics.  Those little stick figures are adorable - and any friend that drinks coffee would appreciate this card!!!

Next week's challenge??? Christmas in July!  Christmas cards are my absolute FAVOURITE to make, so this is my week!  If you wanna play along, make a Christmas-y card with any of the images sold at Stamping Bella and submit to Emily (emily@stampingbella.com) by Thursday night - your card will be published on the blog, and you will be entered to win some BellaBucks!  Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Yummy Fuschias

Hi all,

Did you know that fuschias are one of my FAVOURITE flowers???  HAHA - I bet you didn't.  I have tried to own one a couple of times, and they end up dying - someone please tell me what the secret is!!!

Anywho, if you haven't seen the Fuschias for Lulu, you need to get over to Stamping Bella!  I adore this image!  They are scrumptious, right?

OK, here's my card:

I went with a really simple and clean layout - didn't want to stifle the image.  The base is Kraft CS, then a white piece.  Across that is a black piece, punched with one of the Martha Stewart punches, and some Eggplant grosgrain ribbon across that.
The next panel is a smaller piece of Melon Mambo with a black mat.

I stamped the fuschias onto Bellas Bestest Paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured it in with Copics.  I really love those purples and pinks - I think the flowers come in lots of different colours, but the purple and pink combo is the classic.

Make sure you head over to the Bloggabella tomorrow to check out Bellarific Friday!!!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Bellarific Friday: Bella or Stella

Hi all,

Welcome to another Bellarific Friday!  I am SO happy the weekend has arrived, and I'm wishing you all some really lovely weather and some fabulous free time!

If you were reading up on the Bella blog last Friday, you will already have submitted your card for this week, and you will know that our theme was to use a Bella or Stella stamp!  This category left us with a whole world of possibilities!!!

Here's what I decided on:

My card base is Kraft CS, all my patterned papers are from SU's retired Manchester DSP pack, and all my mats are black CS.  The black strip was punched with my Martha Stewart edge punch.

I stamped Giftabella With Hat onto Bella's Bestest Paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured her with Copics.  I cut her out with Classic Oval Nesties and added some Wheat Versamagic ink inside the stencil.  I coloured the ribbon on the present, and the tassles on the hat with some black Atyou Spica Glitter Pen.
I have to say, this little image is absolutely perfect for so many occasions - a present and a party hat, and you're good to go!

Next week's challenge???  It is a sketch from Ebrubella!  All you have to do is make a card with the sketch using any of the stamps at Stamping Bella, and email it to Emily by Thursday night (emily@stampingbella.com).  You will be entered to win some Bella Bucks, and Em will publish your card on the blog!
Isn't it FAB?  So many ideas.....must...make....card...

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

SOG Challenge: Lift an Odd Girl!

Hi all,

Welcome to another awesome challenge from the Some Odd Girl blog!  This week, we have a really fun challenge for you:  you have to make a card that you have copied from one of the Odd girls!  I think this was so fun - I loved browsing all the ODDies' blogs and there were so many awesome cards to choose from!

I chose to CASE the card from THIS post on Kristy's blog!

I absolutely loved the simplicity of it, and it showcased those patterned papers perfectly!  All the ODD girls have lifted cards from our blogs, and we are all using images from the clear stamps release we had this week!

Here's mine:
My card base is white CS.  The strips of patterned papers are from the Basic Grey pack called Hello Luscious, and the outside ones have rounded corners.  The sentiment is from an SU pack of Rub-ons.

I stamped Sweet Thinkin Mae onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and coloured her with Copics.  I cut her out with a thin white border, and mounted her on with foam dots.  Thanks for the inspiration, Boss Lady!

Copics used:
*Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, R02
*Hair: E31, E35, E37, E49
*Dress/shoes: R81, R85, R89
*Jacket: G21, G24, G28
*Hair Bow: YG21, YG25
*Eyes: B32, B34, B37

Make sure you check out the SOG blog to see what all the ODDies have done, and start browsing through all our blogs to find the creation you want to lift!

Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

SOGgy Clear Release Blog Hop

**Please scroll down to see my Bellarific Friday post!**

Hi ODDies!

Welcome to the blog hop for our second release of clear stamps! Hope you are hopping along and having fun with us! The blog hop is happening this weekend up until Sunday, July 10 at 11:59 pm, EST, so you have lots of time to hop along, and check out our last image for the week!

The instructions for the hop are after the card, so read on!

Today, to finish things off, we are showing you the adorable Pinwheel Panda! We know you'll love him because it's impossible not to!

My card base is Kraft CS, followed by 2 triangles of Hawaii Papaya DSP with a black mat. I added a border across the bottom using felt Chocolate Chip ribbon, black CS, and Old Olive CS, punched with the Martha Stewart grass edge punch.
I stamped the sentiment from Stamping Bella onto white CS with black ink, and cut it out in a wonky shape.

I stamped the panda onto Bella's Bestest Paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and coloured him with Copics. For the green parts of the pinwheel, I actually paper pieced those using the Hawaii Papaya paper. I coloured the middle of the pinwheel with a Sakura Glaze pen for some sparkle, and I added some black pen to his nose and eyes.

Hope you likey! So, here's what you have to do: comment on all the posts along the hop because Kristy is giving a lucky hopper the entire set of 5 images and sentiments! You have to comment on all the posts to qualify!

Bellarific Friday: Use Ribbons

Hi all,

It's Friday again!  Hope you had a great holiday last weekend, and we had a week off of Bellarific Fridays.  So, we are back this week with our regular challenge!

We were challenged to use ribbon on our creation!  Now, that couldn't be any simpler, so there was no excuse not to play along!  So, let's see what we've got...

For my card, I kept it simple.  I didn't want to overdo it, so I went with a clean layout, and only 2 ribbons.

My card base is Pretty In Pink CS, and my DSP is from the SU Raspberry Tart pack, with a black mat.  I wrapped a piece of black grosgrain ribbon around that panel.
Then, I wrapped some pink gingham ribbon vertically around the whole base, and added a bow to the top using my Bow Easy.

I stamped A Little Smooch by Mo Manning onto Bella's Bestest Paper with Memento Tuxedo black ink, and coloured her with Copics.  What a hot mamma!  I coloured the hair and added some ground and background shading with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS.

Make sure you check out all the entries from the Baberoonis and tha Sistahood on the Bloggabella - there is always a TON of inspiration there!

Next week's challenge?  To use a Bella or a Stella image!  I know you've gotta have an image from one of those collections that you are dying to show us!  Submit your card to Em (emily@stampingbella.com) by Thursday night and you will be entered to win some Bella Bucks, and you card will be published on the blog!

Have an amazing weekend!
Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!
