Bellarific Friday: Metal KETTO
Hi all,
Welcome to another Friday with the Bloggabella! As we speak, I am at a cottage having a ton of fun with family and friends - makes for a great weekend! But, I didn't forget about Bellarific Friday!
This week, Em challenged us to use metal on our card - this one was definitely a challenge! Hmmmm, what to use?
Here's mine:
That striped paper has gold metallic lines in it - it's totally yummy!
For the square panel, I took a 3" square piece of Whisper White CS, covered it in Versamark ink, sprinkled gold embossing powder all over it, and melted the whole thing - did that twice. So, it looks like a metallic gold square! I thought it went well with the stripes, and there's my metal! I matted that with a black square, then a white one.
I stamped Margarita KETTO onto Bella's Bestest Paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink (shocker). I coloured her with Copics, and cut her out to mount on the gold square. I coloured all her stars in with a gold Krylon pen - so they are metallic too, but the light doesn't really show it.
Next week's challenge??? Paper Piercing! This should be easy, so I want to see everyone playing along! Don't get it confused with paper piecing - we want pieRcing with an "r". Submit your card using any of the stamps sold at Stamping Bella to Emily (emily@stampingbella.com) by Thursday night - you will be entered to win some Bella Bucks, and your card will be published on the company blog!
Have a great weekend! Hope you enjoyed, and thanks for stopping by!

Look at you - making your own metal! Clever and really nice too! Great shading/colouring on your Ketto.
Wow...I'd say you WON the metal challenge this week girlie! Awesome job on that metallic background. I had to zoom into the picture to see what you made it from and then realized YOU did make it! So creative - love it! Wonderful layout too. Can I tell you I never noticed all the stars on this image before? I LOVE stars, how has this image escaped me? Know what's going in the shopping cart next month...
LOVE your heavy metal Ketto, Robin! Very cute!
