CA & F Saturday Sketch 56

Hi all,

I am playing along with another Greeting Farm challenge - this time on the Club Anya & Friends blog!  I chose to work with their Sketch Saturday #56 layout, and I really like it!  Here is the sketch:

I followed it pretty much to the tee...

All of the papers and cardstock I used are from the SU Simply Scrappin Kit called Tickets & Tokens.  I added some Baja Breeze ribbon on top, and I made it look like a belt with a couple of die cut stickers that came in the kit.
I used an SU edge punch for the scallop edge, and the oval was cut with my Nesties.  The "It's A Good Life" sticker also came from the kit.  The sentiment is from that label-maker thing-y again.

I stamped Travel Anya from The Greeting Farm (I think she's retired now) onto Gina K Luxury White CS with Versafine Onyx Black ink, and embossed her with Clear EP.  I coloured her with Copics, cut her out and mounted her on with foam dots.

I think there is a possibility that I might use this sketch again some time - it was great for showcasing some of my DSP!

Farm Fresh Friday: Texturize!

Well, it has been AGES since I played along with a challenge on the Splendid Stamping blog!  Their challenge from last Friday looked like a fun one, so I pitched in!  The challenge is to use 2 or 3 different textures on your card - could be embossing, glossy accents, Flower Soft, etc.

Here is mine:
I used an adorable Cheeky Cherry stamp called Cheeky Mate - she is a ball of hotness! LOL

My card base is Very Vanilla - haven't used that in ages either - I am a pure white kind of gal usually.  The next layer is Always Artichoke CS, with a Basic Black mat.  The mat was punched with my Martha Stewart crown edge punch, and I added some gun metal Stickles to the points (but I don't think you can see that very well).
The next layer is a Basic Black piece, embossed with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, and matted with a vanilla piece.  I added another small strip of vanilla using the same edge punch, wrapped some Twill Tape around that base layer, and added 3 vintage brads to the side with my mat pack and paper piercer.
My sentiment is made from one of those "label thingies" - clearly I don't remember what it's called, but I bought it at Michael's.  It's great for customizing what you want to say.

I stamped the Cheeky girl onto Gina K luxury ivory CS in Versafine Onyx Black ink, and embossed her with Clear EP.  I coloured her in with Copics, and cut her out with a thin border around.  I added some black Sakura Glaze pen to the stripes on her uniform, and I added the Crystal Effects to the bow and the boots for some GLOSS.  I mounted her on with foam dots for some dimension.

Monday Showcase and Au Revoir!

Welcome to another Monday, which means a showcase at The TownScrapper blog!  Alas, this is my last post as a Scrapette - November marks the end of my DT term : (
I got to work with some realy fun and talented ladies, so I will definitely be blog stalking all of them!

So, for my card today, I chose to work with a Greeting Farm image - it is one of their sprouts called Vivi.  She is such a cute little elf - again, I just love those ears!

My card base is Tempting Turquoise CS, and I added a panel of Gable Green on top, embossed with the Cuttlebug Snowflakes folder, and that was matted with Whisper White.  I also added 3 strips of Tempting Turquoise grosgrain ribbon around that base.
The next panel is a fuzzy piece of DSP from SU's Christmas Cocoa pack, matted with Whisper White.

I stamped Vivi onto Bella's Bestest paper, coloured her in with Copics, cut her out, and mounted her on with Dimensionals.

I had fun with this one, especially since the colours are a little unusual for the Christmas holidays!

Monday Showcase at The Town Scrapper

We get to play along with another Showcase Monday today at the Town Scrapper blog!  Every Monday, the Scrapettes get to play with any of the stamp brands that Phebe sells in her store! So this week, I chose to work with The Greeting Farm image called Cheeky Glamour!

I used Whisper White, and Basic Black CS, and my DSP is from a DCWV pack called All Dressed Up.  I punched the white strip with the Martha Stewart edge punch, and tied some gray taffeta ribbon around it.  I also punched out a white piece with Label 1 Nesties, and added some sponging with Antique Linen Distress Ink, and tucked that under the horizontal strip. 
I punched out 2 photo corners with my SU Photo Corner punch and Whisper White CS, and added 2 bows that I bought in a package from Michael's (not sure of the brand).

I stamped Cheeky Glamour onto Neenah Solar White CS with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and coloured her in with Copics, cut her out, and mounted her on with Dimensionals.  I also added some Sakura Glaze Pen to her eyelids for some shiny eyeshadow. 

I like how girly this card turned out - she is definitely inspired by Marilyn!  Stop by the TTS blog to see what the other Scrapettes have done!

TTS Showcase Monday: Amelia

Hi All,

It is Showcase Monday over at The Town Scrapper blog - happens every week!  During Showcase Mondays, certain members of the design team get to showcase any images/brands they like that are sold by TTS!  Well, for my creation, I decided to go with stamps made by The Greeting Farm.  This is the set called OA - Happy Day. (OA stands for Oliver and Amelia).  After you're done here, head over to the TTS blog and check out all the DT creations!

Here is my card:

My card base is Soft Sky.  The next layer is Basic Black, with a Whisper White mat.  I stamped the sentiment from the OA-Happy Day set onto the bottom of the black piece in Versamark, and embossed with Winter White EP.  I took one of my button packs from SU, added some Linen Thread to 4 of the buttons, and attached them around the sentiment with Mini Glue Dots.
The next panel is made from East Coast Prep DSP and More Mustard CS.  I tied a piece of Old Olive grosgrain ribbon around the bottom of that panel.

I stamped Amelia from the set onto Neenah Solar White CS with Versafine Onyx Black ink, and embossed her with Clear EP.  I coloured her in with Copics, cut her out, and mounted her on with Dimensionals.  She is quite the firey redhead, don't you think?

Ballerina Birthday

Hi All,

A girl at work asked me to make her a birthday card to give to her niece - she said she likes pink, and sparkly things...

My card base is Rose Red CS, followed by a layer of Whisper White, and Raspberry Tart DSP.  Across the bottom of that, I added a Whisper White strip punched with an SU edge punch, and then a Pretty In Pink strip.  I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in Versamark and embossed with White EP.

I added a bunch of pink rhinestones (from Michael's) to the punched edge, and also to the sides of the light pink piece.

For the main panel, I cut a piece of DSP with my oval Nesties, and matted that with a Rose Red piece and a scallop Whisper White piece.  I stamped Ballerina Anya in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Neenah Solar White CS, coloured her with Copics, cut her out, and mounted her on with Dimensionals.  I coloured her Tiara with a pink Atyou Spica Glitter pen.  I also added some pink Stickles to her shoes, and to the middles of some of the flowers on the DSP for some added sparkle.

Farm Fresh Friday: Got Dessert? And the Club Anya Sketch

I saw a couple of fun challenges over at the Greeting Farm and Club Anya.  The first one is this week's Farm Fresh Friday challenge: to create a project with a dessert theme.  I also used the Saturday Sketch for this week from Club Anya - here is a glimpse of it:

I decided to make a birthday card for this one.  I don't have very many stamps with food in them, so I had a slim choice.  I chose to use Birthday Anya because she has a big fat piece of cake on her head!  My DSP is SU's retired Washington Apple pack. I LOVE those papers...I wish I had bought an extra pack.

My card base is Whisper White.  I punched out a Real Red and a smaller Whisper White scallop circle with Nesties and stuck them on.  I then cut a rectangle of yellow DSP and matted that with Real Red CS, and mounted that on top of the scallops.  Then, I tied some Red Gingham Ribbon in a knot around that base layer.  I used the same DSP and Real Red CS for the 2 photo corners as well.

I then cut out a circle of the checker DSP and matted that with a Real Red circle from Nesties and mounted that on with Dimensionals.  The sentiment is from an SU set stamped in Basic Black ink onto Whisper White CS and cut out.

Anya was stamped onto Neenah Solar White CS with Versafine Black ink and embossed with Clear EP.  I coloured her with my Copic markers, cut her out, and mounted her with Dimensionals.

Farm Fresh Friday: Vintage

I am participating in this week's Farm Fresh Friday challenge at The Greeting Farm: to create something vintage.  Now, this is NOT my strong suit...I've never really known how to do vintage, but here goes.

Well, now which TGF stamp makes me think "old"?  I immediately reached for Flapper Anya...she seems vintage, doesn't she?  My layout was inspired by Mercy - she has been using a lot of circles lately with a plain background.

My card base is a Kraft card (with a matching envelope) from American Crafts.  In 2 of the corners, I added Basic Grey Rub-Ons that were kind of old looking.  I punched out circles in a few differnt sizes from several of the DSP patterns from the Basic Grey Scarlet Letter pack, and I distressed them all (that always makes things look old and used).

The flower is made from my Scallop Circle punch with Kraft CS (SU).  You can find the tutorial from Mercy HERE. That girl is brilliant! I added a vintage brad from SU to the centre of the flower.  I like the way it turned out, but I don't see myself getting this card into an envelope!

I tied some Linen Thread to the base also.  The main panel is a piece of white CS, punched with Curved Rectangle Nesties, and sponged with Ruby Red ink.  Anya was stamped onto Neenah Solar White CS with Versafine Black ink, and embossed with clear EP, then coloured with Copics and cut out.  I tried to colour it so her band looked ruffled, like a bunched-up ribbon.  I mounted her on with Dimensionals.  I added some paper piercing around that panel too.

CHA Relay Card 4: Prince Ian

This is my card for the 4th free digi that The Greeting Farm is giving away.  You can actually get the jpg image on the blog HERE. 

This one is definitely a simple card - not many layers, not many embellishments. My card base is Blue Bayou, then a layer of Chocolate Chip, then a layer of retired SU DSP.  The square and rectangle panels are also DSP, matted with Chocolate Chip.

I tied 3 strips of True Thyme stitched ribbon around the rectangle panel.  I added some adhesive nail heads on the square panel, and also onto the base.

The main panel is a piece of Blue Bayou CS, cut with my Peony Nesties.  I printed Prince Ian onto Neenah Solar White CS, coloured him with Copics, and cut him out with Circle Nesties.  I also sponged some True Thyme ink on the circle while it was still in the stencil.

I wasn't sure if I should add a sentiment, so that is still pending.

CHA Relay Card 3: Cub Baby

Hi All,

This is my card with The Greeting Farm's 3rd free digi - Toby Cub! It looks like a Marina Neira design - it's a cute critter!

My card base is Whisper White, then a layer of Baja Breeze, followed by a layer of Sweet Slumber Specialty DSP.  I really love that DSP pack, and wish I had more of it. It's really thick and textured.

The next panel is also a layer of Baja Breeze and DSP.  I adhered a piece of Baja Breeze striped ribbon vertically across that panel, and then attached a bow I made with my Bow Easy.

Lastly, I printed Toby the Cub onto Neenah Solar White CS, coloured him with Copics, and cut it into a rectangle. That was then matted with a Baja Breeze piece.  I stamped my sentiment "You Little Stinker" from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on the left side of the panel.  I added some cute SU buttons to the right side with Mini Glue Dots.

CHA Relay Card 2: Charlotte Looks Like Trouble

Hi All,

Here is the card I made with the Greeting Farm's second digi giveaway!  There is a crazy response for this challenge! Holy Moly - so much so, that their gallery crashed earlier because there were so many uploads!
Anywho, we got an email today from Mercy with our free digi image, and it was a Wild Sprout named Charlotte.

My card base is Very Vanilla. I went much simpler this time.

The next layer is a piece of Pumpkin Pie CS where the top third was embossed with the Mesh Cuttlebug folder. Below that is a piece of Rose Red patterns DSP, and below that, a plain piece of Old Olive CS.  I also rounded the 4 corners with my punch.

I added some Old Olive Grosgrain ribbon around that base layer.  The main panel is a piece of Very Vanilla where the top 2 corners were punched with the Tag Corner Punch.  I added a piece of Old Olive CS that was punched with the Martha Stewart Grass punch.  Beside that, is a layer of SU felt flowers from the Flower Fusion Accents and Elements tin with a Rose Red brad in the centre.

I printed Charlotte off onto Neenah Solar White CS, coloured her in with Copics, cut her out, and mounted her on with Dimensionals.  The sentiment "Here Comes Trouble" is from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps, and I added 3 Rose Red brads next to that.

CHA Relay Begins! Mer-Ian: I Know Where Your Dirty Mind Was Going...

What do you think Mer-Ian's one deficiency might be? he he {blush}  Well, I'm not going to tell you what I wrote on the inside of the card.  My sentiment says, "The perfect Man? If it wasn't just for that one small problem..." .

Well, The Greeting Farm is having a really fun challenge over the next 5 days, and you have the chance to get 5 free digi stamps from them!  Visit THIS POST for the staring point.  They have posted the first free digi there: Mer-Ian.  You have to make a card with that digi and post it by 6pm, CST tomorrow (Monday), then you will receive an email with the next free digi.  It will continue on this way, and if you complete all of the cards, then you have a bunch of free digital TGF stamps!

Here is my first card:

My card base is Baja Breeze, followed by a Basic Gray layer punched with a Martha Stewart edge punch, followed by a layer of Walk In the Park DSP (retired SU).  The right-hand panel is Basic Gray and the same DSP, using the same punch on the right edge.

I used an Ornare stencil for the piercing on the 4 corners, and created faux stitching with a Basic Black marker.  I added some blue pearls (from Michael's) to the insides of those designs.
The horizontal strip is Basic Gray CS and DSP, with 2 pearls on the right side.

Ian was printed onto Neenah Solar White CS, coloured in with Copics, cut out, and mounted with Dimensionals.  I cut an oval from Whisper White CS wth Classic Oval Nesties, and sponged Baja Breeze ink in the middle.  That was mounted onto a Basic Gray piece cut with Scallop Oval Nesties.

Now, for the sentiment.  I thought I would write something cute - I typed it up and printed it off.  I cut it out with my Large Oval Punch.

Farm Fresh Friday - Glitter and Glue

Well, back to The Greeting Farm - what can I say?  Well, I was browsing through all my Anyas, and decided that Ballerina Anya was the way to go! Isn't she cute?  You can find the post for this week's Farm Fresh Friday challenge HERE - the challenge is to use glitter and glue...anything sparkly and/or sticky!

I decided that pink was a MUST!  My card base is Whisper White CS, layered with Basic Black, Basic Gray, Whisper White, and DCWV All Dressed Up DSP.  For the horizontal layer, it is a Pink Pirouette piece, then a Basic Gray piece, followed by a Basic Black piece, which was punched with an EK Success edge punch.  I tied some Black Gingham Ribbon around that layer, and I added 3 pink Twinkle Brads from CloseTo My Heart to the corner.  Everything is so sparkly and glittery! 

For the main panel, I cut out a Pink Pirouette circle with my Classic Circle Nesties, and sponged some Basic Gray ink onto the bottom, then layered it onto a white circle.  That was layered onto a Basic Black piece cut out with my Blossom Nestabilities.  I sprayed some Glimmer Mist all over that circular layer for some shimmer.

I stamped Anya onto Neenah Solar White CS in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, coloured with Copic markers, cut out, and mounted on with Dimensionals.  I coloured her tiara and shoes with Atyou Spica Glitter Pens for even more sparkle.

I have never done such a sparkly card in my life! That's why these challenges are so good - push you out of your comfort zone into something interesting!

On the 12th Day of Christmas, TGF Gave To Me...

***Before I show you today's card, I thought I should draw your attention to something.  Over on the Club Anya & Friends Blog, they have posted their Wild Wednesday's challenge - and Jessica at TGF has decided that everyone should CASE one of my cards!  Head over to THIS post to take a look and participate! Alright, back to the card...

Well, it's so sad, but this is my final card from TGF's 12 Days of Christmas.  You can find the post HERE.

I decided to go with a much simpler card this time.  My colour scheme is based on SU's Fall Flowers DSP.

My card base is Whisper White.  Then, the rectangle is Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, and 2 strips of DSP.

The circle is also Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, and DSP, all cut out with Classic Circle Nesties.  There are also a couple of leaves and a flower from Close To My Heart stuffed in there for the Autumn theme, as well as a button on top adhered with a Mini Glue Dot.

I printed this digital Miss Anya Autumn onto PTI White CS, coloured her in with Copics, cut her out, and adhered her to the circle.  All pretty simple!

On the 11th Day of Christmas, TGF Gave To Me...

Hi All,

Here is my second last card for TGF's 12 Days of Christmas sketches.  You can find the post for the 11th sketch HERE.  This was a fun one too - I loved the 3 panels.

My colour scheme this time is based on SU's retired Haiku DSP - still on my DSP kick! 

My card base is So Saffron, then a layer of Chocolate Chip, then a layer of DSP.  For the 3 panels, it's also Chocolate Chip CS, and DSP.  The sentiment and the animals are from the McSplendid Farm set - thy are sooo cute. 

I tied a piece of striped Tangerine Tango Ribbon around that layer across the middle panel.

I stamped the animals onto Neenah Solar White CS, coloured them with Copics, and cut them out. You can tell I had some issue with the pig's tail - I should have stamped the pig on the panel in black, and just left the tail out (like I did for the chicken's feet). Oh well.

I stamped Anya from Rock the Farm onto Neenah Solar White CS in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  I coloured her with Copics, and cut her out with Classic Circle Nesties, and layered her onto a Chocolate Chip circle.

On The 10th Day of Christmas, TGF Gave To Me...

We are getting down to the last 3 sketches from The Greeting Farm's 12 Days of Sketches.  You can find the post for the 10th sketch HERE.  I had a lot of fun with this one!

I was burning to use some particular items, so this was my chance.  My colour scheme is based on SU's retired East Coast Prep DSP. 

My card base is Tempting Turquoise (not my usual), then a layer of Basic Black, then a layer of DSP, with the corners punched from a Martha Stewart Loopy Corner punch.

The 2 rectangle panels are also Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black, and DSP.  The horizontal strip in Whisper White. 

For the main panel, I stamped the ever cute Lolli Anya onto Neena Solar White CS, and coloured her with Copic markers.  She looks like such a little tease!  I added 3 buttons from the Playschool button pack from SU with Mini Glue Dots.  That was then layered onto Basic Black and Tempting Turquoise also.

On The 9th Day of Christmas, TGF Gave To Me...

For The Greeting Farm's 9th sketch, I decided to go VERY clean & simple (CAS).  You can find the post HERE.  The deadline just passed to upload all of the cards to the TGF Gallery, which I have done, but I am posting them one by one on my blog, so the blog is a little behind.

I decided to use only white, black and gold fr colour, and decided to make a baby card out of it. 
My card base is Whisper White CS, then the rectangle is Whisper White, layered with Basic lack and Brushed Gold CS. 

For the horizontal strip, I used Whisper White CS embossed with the Paisley Cuttlebug folder, matted with Basic Black CS, and Brushed Gold CS, which was punched with the Crown Martha Stewart Edge Punch.

I stamped the bear and sentiment from Oh Baby in Versamark onto Whisper White CS, embossed with Gold EP, and cut them out with Classic Oval Nesties.  I layered that with Basic Black and Brushed Gold ovals.  I also added some cute rhinestones to the right side.

On The 8th Day of Christmas, TGF Gave To Me...

Double post today, so be sure to scroll down to catch the 7th sketch.  Anyway, you can find the 8th sketch HERE.  This was a fun one for me!

My colour scheme this time was based on SU's retired Cutie Pie DSP.  My card base is Certainly Celery, then a layer of Sahara Sand, then a layer of DSP.  The smaller rectangle panel was also done the exact same way. 

For the horizontal strip, it is DSP and Whisper White, which was embossed with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.  I added 2 Jumbo Pewter Eyelets to the ends for re-inforcement.

The sentiment is from SU's Oval All set. First stamped onto Certainly Celery CS with Celery ink, and punched with the Scallop Oval Punch.  Then, the stamp was inked with markers, stamped onto White CS and punched out with the Large Oval Punch.

The butterflies were punched out of DSP with the Martha Stewart butterfly punch - I used 2 large, and 1 small.

For the main image I used a cutie from the Miss Anya Love set.  She is stamped onto Neenah Solar White CS, coloured with Copics, and cut out.  I used her as a substitution for the oval panel in the sketch.
